Re: Miniguide for controlling DDReam Studio
The more I use DDReam the more I find myself referencing this guide. Really well written.

Re: Miniguide for controlling DDReam Studio
So, new to DDReam, and I started making a song on Easy difficulty, but as I started placing notes where they felt most natural, I noticed that I was stepping something for a harder difficulty such as, well, difficult. Any advice on how to easily transfer notes between difficulty? Thanks.

Re: Miniguide for controlling DDReam Studio
Ctrl a > Ctrl x > go to difficulty you want > go to beat of first note > Ctrl v done

Re: Miniguide for controlling DDReam Studio
Question time~
The shortcuts responsible for volume and playspeed (CTRL+ALT+arrows) are associated with my screen orientation; which causes DDream to stop responding every time I try to use them. It's a huge inconvenience and really stops me from ever getting anything done. Does anybody by chance know how to disable this? (win 8.1) Edit: Nevermind, I got this. Re: Miniguide for controlling DDReam Studio
Is there a way to reverse the scroll direction of DDream studio? Anyone know how to do this? I feel like my pitch sounding is backwards lol

Re: Miniguide for controlling DDReam Studio
Dang, thats a shame Nothing I can't get used to I suppose, it'll just take some time Fair enough though, I mean, reverse scroll is even buggy in the built in SM editor

Re: Miniguide for controlling DDReam Studio
does anyone have any pointers on how to properly set the preview music/ selection sample? i tried doing it in ddream by inputting the timestamp into the sample start/end in the file options but it didn't work the way i thought it would

Re: Miniguide for controlling DDReam Studio
I've just been using audacity/a media player to find the section I want (e.g start preview at 20 seconds) then I just figure out how many seconds the part I want is and set it to that.
Unsure of how to do it in ddream - I just edit the .sm file with notepad, at the very top there's "PreviewStart" and "PreviewLength" I believe, the main thing to note is its measured in seconds. Last edited by Dinglesberry; 10-8-2016 at 05:47 PM.. |

Re: Miniguide for controlling DDReam Studio
I have a weird problem with DDReam Studio. My program crashes pretty often, causing me to lose progress each time (thankfully, I save pretty often) with a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error that says "Runtime Error! This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way". But this issue usually comes up whenever I chart easier difficulties for my files. So mainly when I'm removing layers or rearranging patterns. Does this happen with anyone else? I'd like to fix this because losing progress is mondo sucky.
