Re: Alex & Eric's Assortment of Simfiles [RELEASED]
you could always play that file in the DF engine, which iirc isn't that much of a difference unless ji changed it up since Custom Tourney 8.

Re: Alex & Eric's Assortment of Simfiles [RELEASED]
ALRIGHTY time for some reviewing. (I MAY be a bit drunk but it's not like it affects how I play)
44 Edit- I'm actually a bit surprised there weren't any BPM tricks in this. But holy shit this file is a bit tricky to get the hang of, It's fun and provides something new and fresh for those who are somewhat experienced. 8.5/10 99.9 (2007 Mix)- I listened to the preview and thought "Ugh...another uhn tiss uhn tiss file". I was actually quite surprised with the actual song itself, the steps and BPM tricks are undeniably addictive imo. Once you get a grade on it you'll go for an FC or AAA because you know you can do it. 8/10 All I Wanna Do Is Touch Your Powerpoints: First off... the name of this song made my eyes twitch... On to the actual review.. JACKS.... I HATE JACKS. But they were well put. I personally think the minijacks in the 16th stream was rather annoying but I cannot deny this files replay value. 7/10 Altair: This song seemed a bit offsync to me via BPM offset..so I fiddled with it...but then noticed it was correct from the start /fail. Holy shit I think I've played this about 6 times since I downloaded this back. I loooove 12'th streams because of the badassery it gives to a song. It has jacks which I hate -_-" but I can live with them. I'm gonna see if I can FC this in the future 9/10 Ashurnishishi- It's like World's End Yama Xanadu... only easier.. and shorter. The streams are a wee bit TOO repetitive, if there was a bit more variety in the steps then I could see myself playing this a LOT more. 6/10 Bonecrusher- I thought this would be like Ashurnishishi but holy shit that went out the window. This song brings a lot of variety and interest to those that play it. the jack and 12th portion of the song caught me a bit off guard but in a good way. It had me on my toes expecting something new after a long freeze, shame the song is too short for my liking though . 9.5/10 Will review more once I'm like...umm awake. I'm braindead and have work in 14 hours xD |

Re: Alex & Eric's Assortment of Simfiles [RELEASED]
I wanted to include some BPM tricks. I really didn't know how to execute them and I didn't want to try to just end up fucking it up.

Re: Alex & Eric's Assortment of Simfiles [RELEASED]
Thanks for the early feedback and reviews, I'd love to hear more positive and negative comments which will help us improve the next release, if we decide to do one.
If we do plan to work on a new one it will be a few months post-release of ODI3 and will be public for guest files submissions. |

Re: Alex & Eric's Assortment of Simfiles [RELEASED]
Welp, I played through the entire pack and here's my top 5~
1. 44Edit: This isn't a surprise as I loved the FFR chart of it Fission :P, you are definitely one of my favourite new stepartists right now <3 And best file in the pack for me. 2. Stephen Hawking vs. Albert Einstein: Hardpain dump but idgaf, A+ song choice Eric~ 3. Hand Throw: Even if I had already played this one Individually released and on FFRCP4, I'll still play this file regardless~ 4. Fluteman: I love your file and Ducky's file of this that I can't decide which one is better, although the mines derp me up a lot but that's just me being rubbish. oops. 5. Bonecrusher: I loved the file and its actually fun haha. Honorable mention: Bed Intruder (oww x.x), Butterfly (better if I present it in a gif...if only I can find that gif that has MrMagic dancing to it >_>...)
