It's hard to do something that doesn't sound like something that exists already...especially in classic. It's alot more limited than for example jazz.

Re: 5th piano solo
I'm very surprised you did 2:08 so smoothly then. Jumping with your left hand to that low octave and back in one triplet without overaccentuating, props.

Re: 5th piano solo
So I just got done re-recording some parts of the song AND adding 45 more seconds to it because we had issues with the microphones the other night and it sounded like a crappy keyboard, which defies the purpose of me spending 22000$ on a piano lol
I'm proud of this take, sounds pretty amazing. A fair warning to those who have a powerful subwoofer, I went pretty damn low on the keyboard in the retake. And with the changed settings, it...vibrates: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlxQocunMjc

Re: 5th piano solo
And people do shitty karaoke and get famous, where this guy creates masterpieces (imo at least) and hasn't been noticed as much as he deserves.
If you show yourself playing the pieces, however, I'm pretty sure you'll get more viewers.

Re-favorited. With the better recording equipment, it sounds even more legit!
This. A pianist's playing style always draws my attention and contributes a lot to what I think of the performance.

Re: 5th piano solo
I'm in awe. Seriously. This is going straight into my mp3.
Indeed, I can very well see Chopin in your piece. His virtuosity is something I can see you worked pretty well to obtain and even more impressive; you managed to let emotions flows so naturally. Good work. Chopin is indeed amazing. The emotions carried through his works makes him without a doubt one of the greatest master of classical music ever. Personally though, I think Bach is by far the best composer the earth have seen :3 The mathematical beauty that lies in the structure of his pieces makes hearing them extremely pleasant to hear in a very intellectual way. He caries some much power into his fugue (for example lol) that he in his very own right deserve to be called to best classical composer of all time. I was wondering. Have you any sheet music for this particular piece ? I would like to have a go at it, even though I think there are some bits I'm nowhere near to even learn lol (especially 1:50 and 3:30 xD). I only have been playing for two years after all lol. Oh, you're from Quebec too. In what city do you live if that's not too personal ? Last edited by Artic_counter; 07-5-2011 at 12:06 AM.. |

As for the sheet music, you're not the first one to ask. I was actually thinking about writing down the sheet music for all my songs once my album is done. They're gonna be...hard to write down lol

Re: 5th piano solo
My stepfile is coming along nicely for this now! The farther I go into this song, the more I'm in love with it!
EDIT: Also, I'm not stepping the new version, I had already started the original one so I didn't want to start over.

Re: 5th piano solo
Link for download please - I was planning on charting this song but I didn't have a working computer. I do now, though, and I don't want to use a low quality track.

Re: 5th piano solo
Wow. Three people stepping the same thing, with mine most likely ending up being the worst (It'll be the second I send in, and only the 3rd I've completed.)

Re: 5th piano solo
Actually, I mistook this song for something else. I'm actually charting Lost (something that MBurns told me about on Thirdstyle, not sure it was posted here).
