Well I mean of course you're not going to take the BPM finder 100% literal all of the time. You're just stupid if you don't check that the number it's giving you the right BPM. It just helps save some time by (usually) being pretty close to what the real BPM is.

my christmas song is by Tom Lehrer.... has tons of bpm changes. so you know.



and, small post-batch update:

Rebirth0
Driveway: +
- Couple long 8th streams that got boring
- Otherwise, queueworthy.

Jump In: +?
- Simfile felt very uninteresting, and too easy for
the song. Needs filler arrows throughout the entire
file pretty much

Roses and Butterflies (BEN. (SPEIRS) 7.5): +?
- Somewhat uninteresting file because of patterns
and rhythms
- Worst of the three imo. (Doesn't mean the file
sucks)


Roses and Butterflies (Neon): +
- Some of those random colored notes that go to the
vocals aren't perfectly onbeat. They're all close
enough though, and nobody would ever notice in FFR.
- By far the best Roses and Butterflies file out of
the three. Very fun for what the song gives you

Roses and Butterflies (Valtrix): +?
- Pretty interesting where you have steps put down.
- Quite a few 2+ beat long blank spots, which makes
the file a little boring

Driveway +
Jump In ? (Steps just don't go very well with the vocals and are usually pretty bad when they stray from them)
Roses B < (Quit out, the others are clearly better)
Roses N +
Roses V < (This is pretty good too really...tough choice, but I prefer N, mainly for better jump use and the vocal syncing)



not that it matters.... i already put Neon's Roses & Butterflies, Driveway, and Jump In into the game. I'm aware Jump In could still use some fixes.... but Synth is really really really antsy to get these 3 songs in game and get the embedded player out to Making April. so they're all in game already.


EDIT: about the real batch. halfway done. 17 left, 20 played. 10 +s, including all 6 of the files both +d. so 10+s, 10 +? out of 20.

Because the syncing on my files aren't up to Tass or whoever's converting the file into Flash.. no, no, everything rests on the way I sync it in Stepmania, a program completely seperate to FFR in pretty much every way as far as programming goes. I don't need assist tick to tell whether or not a file's BPM is correct, and none of my files have sucked because of that.

My files suck because I started submitting my files too early, and they got accepted because of the judge's lower standards back a while ago. If you want one of my better files, I'll send you one of my most recent ones. I'm a better stepfile artist than what my current files show, and I'm getting really, really tired of explaining myself.

why do the songs HAVE to be in an attachment i mean....i think the link that i showed to all the files was fine. then you sent it back saying put in an attachment. then i sent 2 e-mails with the attached files..well thats because the e-mail doesnt hold that much space!!! Then you send it back saying 1 e-mail. Why.....you have the songs right there and your making me now condense the files and re-send it? i think its very very very tedious that your making me do all of these things when you could easily have the files by now.

Tass asked for a specific format. Where does he draw the line between acceptable or not?

He happened to draw the line right up against his specifications, meaning that you need to follow them exactly. If he makes an exception for you, he has to for everyone.

Also, by simply attaching the files uncompressed, it means that he needs to go make a new folder, name it appropriately (Meaning he has to go into your files, find out the song name and your username), and then save each individual file in there. Considering the large filebase he has to work with, it gets tedious.

This is the way things are. While it may take 30 more seconds of effort on your part, just please accept it.

I was thinking of funtwo actually, I have the paragraph i sent saved on my comp. Ill just send it to him too. I looked for JerryC's contact info and could find anything.
