Re: The Riddle Thread
I've got one that no-one has ever gotten before, mostly because it is completely insane..
You are in a room with no windows or doors. In the room is a mirror and a table. You have nothing with you but your wits. And clothes, don't forget the clothes. How do you escape? Hint: Homonyms (less effective when typed)

Re: The Riddle Thread
@Icewolf:
1. More specifically, 1961 was a year in the 20th century that read the same upside-down. It's won't happen again until 6009, a span of 4,048 years. 2. A ton. (Little wordplay here; read backwards, it is not.) 3. A tissue. The water will dissolve the tissue, but it won't break if you throw it from a height, unless something impales or otherwise knocks up the tissue. @Meth: Here's what you do. You look into the mirror. You take what you saw, and use the "saw" to cut the table in half. Two halves make a "hole", and you exit through the "hole." |

Correct but you misspelled "whole". I guess the homonyms thing was a pretty big hint.

Re: The Riddle Thread
I didn't misspell it. I deliberately put it in quotes with that spelling to show the wordplay.

Quote:
New Riddle: Einstein's Riddle: Einstein has been widely credited online with the following riddle, and with the claim that 98% of the world could not solve it. But if you are patient enough, you should be able to solve it. There are 5 houses in 5 different colors in a row. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage. Other facts:
The question is : Who owns the fish? |

Re: The Riddle Thread
As far as I can tell, the german has the fish. However, you have to make an assumption, since you can't prove he has the fish, but only show everything else has been taken by someone else ;p

Re: The Riddle Thread
Is the last question one of those things where you make all the boxes in a chart to try and figure it out? We had to do things similar to this in freshman math.

Re: The Riddle Thread
I'm not dead but I don't live
I'm convinced I don't need sleep but I still do it I see many squares as I look throughout the day I can't see others but only those that don't exsist Not dead but an average american never lives life.(Sits on the computer or couch) I'm convinced I don't need sleep but I still do, 98% of america uses coffee or some other source of energy to wake them up instead of having a full nights rest. I see many squiares as I look throughout the day, 95% of america spends a majority of thier day either watching a TV, a computer screen, or some kind of machine. 85% of americans are oblivious to everyone and everything. Instead we're addicted to cartoons and screens of things that aren't they but could be thousands of miles away. Most of the time though it is a cartoon or animation also meaning a video game. An average american. |
