So far so good, I predicted 2 would go down in 5 and so far the most obvious one happened, the Red Wings. This is good and also unfortunate that I chose them as my favorites to beat Nashville but they didn't bring their usual A game so Rinne robbed them every game. Next game that goes in 5 is Sunday's game of Canucks vs Kings, the Canucks are toast. On that note, why the hell are the Canucks and Kings having like 3+ days off until their game 5? Weird.

To everyone that picked Detroit, including me, all I can say is that the writing was on the wall when they closed out the regular season the way they did.

Should the suspension carry over to next season, because he is classified as a repeat offender under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Torres will forfeit $21,341.46 in salary for every regular-season game in which he is ineligible to play.
Alright, sorry about taking so long with this. I'm at a LAN party, at the moment.
Anyway. With the Detroit Red Wings bowing out first, the Nashville Predators are the first team to advance to the second round! However, the record for people who picked was only 5-25! Welp, we all suck.
Also, like last year, all prizes will be handed out AFTER the playoffs end.
Also, I should've mentioned the spon con stopped accepting entries after puck drop, but we're all good. 2 people are eliminated.
The Kings are pretty beast too. Vancouver seems afflicted by something. They're no longer winning the close ones, and they're struggling to blow open some not-close ones.
Luongo's numbers look horrible, but everyone who watched his performances knows they're probably the worst numbers ever born from such spectacular play. I'm not sure Schneider is that much of a factor. It's more like Van charged into round one thinking victory would be automatic because they're Van.
Right now, round two looks like: STL-LA and PHO-NSH. Those unlikely teams make me giddy.
I know vancouver won't win the series, but luongo is just unable to play under heavy pressure. He actually played quite well in the first two games, but mediocre defense led to two straight losses.
If Ryan Kessler could beast like he did against nashville last season, things would be more interesting. It seems the canucks team are looking for excuses and aren't really trying very hard. Their offense in the post season has been an issue for a very long time now.
Schneider has nothing to lose right now. He doesn't have the same pressure Luongo does. If Schneider loses, people will say "oh well he was just the backup anyways" while Luongo has very high expectations from the fans. Schneider has only let 2 goals and has been very solid. I'd love to see him play some more in Vancouver for sure.
