Re: The Video Game Mega Pack 2! (VGMP 2!)
They're pretty terrible actually. go 2 bemanistyle and download something from Kyka. dat's my little bro. He's made over a hundred files and none of them are really... quality. He's got the quantity down though.

Re: The Video Game Mega Pack 2! (VGMP 2!)
this cool glove guy that is a judge posted a nice review of some of the files submitted so far over at odi, here's what he wrote
Ok, I thought I'd write a small review of the files that I personally have said yes to so far so you guys get to know what I think of the files and you get to know a bit what to expect out of this pack. Act One- Forest (Gemstar) Really fun to play, nicely done. Cool usage of freezes. Some stuff could be better but whatever, this is good. Tsuka told me this was your first file? In that case, way to go girl this is absolutely ridiculously good for a first file. Armored Armadillo (Zaghurim) Fun file, nice pitch-relevancy and patterns. Although kinda gay that your mirrored the second of half the song to make it less repetetive, it actually gets almost equally as repetetive as if you wouldn't have mirrored it and you notice it right away when playing because the pitch-relevancy gets mirrored haha. Anyway this is really nice file. Chill (Macgravel) Fun on xmod, nice stops. Some parts tend to get a bit boring but the cool parts makes it good enough. A couple of errors in there, and I would really want to see an oni on this one but whatever, it's good enough. Full Stop (Malice) Very fun. I don't have much more to say really, it's nicely done and it's technically good. Gothic Neclord (IamMe) Really cool file, better then Kil's. There's one or two jackhammer-placements that's kinda gay but whatever it's a really good file. Hydrocity Zone (Tsuka) Really fun to play. Very creative. Cool freezes. This file might not be perfect technically (it's good enough though) but it's really creative and supersex to play. Master Of Shadow (Yesssss) Heavy is awesome, it's very fun and nicely done. Oni is also fun and nicely done but I enjoy it less because it gets kinda annoying with those pretty hard patterns coming back again, but I think that's just me. It's hard, fun and nicely done, giving it a high replay value. Thumbs up. Maybe I'm a lion (t0ra) Srsly funy. Song's fucen awesome, really different song from most other submission. The chart is also pretty damn cool and different from the rest of the stuff we've received. I really really enjoy playing this, I nod my head sometimes and get really taken by it. It's kinda easy, has errors and some inconsistency but WHO CARES. This is awesome! Shadowman (Zaghurim) Really fun. Nice pitch-relevancy and patterns. Although, same goes for this as Armored Armadillo, kinda lame mirroring the second half of it since you notice it right away when playing it. Otherwise really fun, very nicely done. Stage 3 (Rebirth) Pretty fun, nicely done. Gets slightly repetetive and boring though but it's ok, it's not that bad . I would love if you made a hard oni for this and some stuff in heavy needs to be looked over but this is good enough. The Deceisive Battle (t0ra) Fun. Nicely done, some parts are awesome and some parts get slightly boring but it's all good. The Swamps Of Forgetfullness (Tsuka) Haha, this is definately as good as it gets with this song XD. I actually enjoy this a lot even though it's short and there's not that much into it. Nice freezes and good job not making it boring as hell. This is good enough. Toxic Caves (Macgravel) Fun. Some parts get boring and some are pretty damn cool. Nice usage of mini-freezes, makes it more interesting and gives a little climax-feeling. Balloon Fight (GLoVE) Edit is really fun, overlayered as hell. The 12ths layered in are cool though imo. Oni is a decent chart, nothing special, it's kinda fun and ok I guess. I can't remember heavy and I'm too lazy to play it. Flying Battery Zone (GLoVE) Heavy is pretty cool and fun except for the superboring part, I might do something about that. Oni is seriously a good chart, very fun to play and nicely done. Edit is pretty stupid. I think it's decently fun but I think people that enjoy loads of air can find it more fun then I do. Human Theme 01 (GLoVE) Kinda lame, this is not for me really but I still think it's good enough haha. And everyone else liked it so far and it's pretty decently done so I guess it's ok lol. Tiny Toon Adventure (GLoVE) Edit is so much fun! It's kinda stupid and ridiculously overlayered but it's loads of fun and has a high replay-value due to being so short, hard and fun. I laugh everytime I play it. Oni is a good chart imo, it's nothing special but I think you'll find this fun. Heavy is also a pretty good chart and it is fun. If your file is not on this list: 1. I didn't think it was good enough 2. I havn't played it yet 3. I didn't get it yet. 4. I havn't decided yet. 5. Needs too much fixing up. 6. You have aids in your brain go kill yourself. This pack is turning out really awesome so far. Loads of quality stuff and really fun to play. Also everything is much harder then the average diffculty of the first VGMP which was pretty easy, filled with loads of AAAAable songs |
