Go hybrid if you plan on hitting 3rd job ever. If not, it's a waste of character...

Buster and Fury are both amazing skills in each their own rights. Yes you'll have to switch weapons to get the most (as buster stabs and fury swings). But everyone I've talked to hates FA, and it'd suck a lot with slash blast. It does a 250% free attack that is slightly delayed. Big deal. Slash blast, FA comes out, and hits one guy for 250%. It doesn't stack onto the damage, just the normal attack damage. FA is a horrible skill, especially for spearmans compared to other warriors.

My page friend HATES his FA, and pages tend to get FA. FA is worthless garbage and I don't think it saves mesos on pots, as the delay will get you hurt more if you don't kill them with the FA shot... Don't go FA...

Okay, you don't seem to know something very important: spears do more damage when they stab, polearms do more damage when you swing. If you only master spears and get Dragon Fury for spear, you will notice that other people your level with the exact same stats and a comparable polearm will do much more damage with it, just because it forces you to swing rather than stab. What hybrid DKs do is master both and get the swinging skill (Fury) for polearm and the stabbing skill (buster) for spear, then they switch whenever they want to switch attacks.

And I'm not sure what FA is like. If you never get it you'll never know if you'd like it or hate it, but I know for sure that it's a terrible idea for bowmen. There are ways to avoid it harming you as a warrior, but it can indeed cause problems, especially with SB like Jason said. What you'll do at higher levels is train on Yetis and other slow-ish things that can be herded and SBed in huge groups. Having FA will make you stab one instead of SBing and killing them all faster. It's supposed to help save money with pots, but it's pretty lame, really. Critical strike for warriors would be infinitely better. XD

Semi-random question: Does anybody know for sure what the limit is on leeching? I know you have to be within a certain level of the monster to do it, but I'm not quite sure what that level gap is...

I thought it was 5 levels. Also, the person has to be within 20 levels to get exp from you I think if they leech. The same guy is giving me 10k more NX Cash to level him. He said he is afk for 7 hours, so I ditched him so I could level...

Do you think you're gonna be playing for another 2-3 months to get to 70? If so, take the time now to master both Masteries and their respective Boosters. If not, then wait until you have saved 4 or 5 levels of SP and then start putting points into Final Attack.

Both Buster and Fury are awesome. If you want both, you are able to switch in circumstances, such as when it's a single large enemy you need to be killing = Buster or when it's a mob of lesser enemies (still large) = Fury. Fury has a huge range. I'm talking Magic Claw / Lucky Seven range here. Buster is pretty long too, like double the distance from the end of your spear when you're laying down and sliding it forward.

As the only warrior on FFR with FA, I think it's only fair I give my opinion. (Currently at 24/30, 2 more levels til it's maxed)

FA can be very useful for fighters. They do the same damage as Power Strike when maxed, so it's like doubling your attack. An example of how I use FA in a positive way would be against Jr. Grupins. If there's one by itself, I'll simply hit power strike, it'll do around 800 or 900 damage, then FA will kick in and finish it. Now, the downside to this would be if you were a spearmen (spearman? lol). Jr. Grupins only have 1100 hp, so if you happen to 1hko it, you end up stabbing again. The question is, so? I think you just wasted a total of 0.5 seconds more or less. Yeah, you'll get mobbed if attack a mob with FA since it won't knock them all back or something, but you're a warrior man! You shouldn't really be taking that much damage.

Yeah, that was pretty poorly written, but just my opinion.

Well now it's all clear. Thanks guys. Although... this also means I'm going to be 2x poorer (having to buy 2 weapons and stuff).

I guess I'll be going hybrid then.

One last question: Should I max both masteries and then max boosters or max one mastery (this is already done for spear), max the booster for that master and then max the other mastery?

Umm... Max both masteries now in the 2nd job and then max Buster and Fury in 3rd job... Leave out FA now that you have made your decision. Level 48 at 80%. I think I'm calling it a night since I have to REALLY study for finals. Procrastinating is horrble...

Level 14, once I get to 15 there will be a huge slew of weapons for me to buy, and I have plenty of mesos. I can now pretty much hit the green mushrooms and axwood with ease, but exp gaining is going slow -_-

ckj, I think he means booster. Max mastery for spear, then get booster to at least 10 or so. Spears are better than polearms in the 2nd job (dragon's tongue and zeco are normal speed, but same attack as their slowass polearm counterparts) so you can go without polearm mastery and booster for a while.

And uh, why only to 10 with SB? wtf else did you max, and why?!

I'm not all that familiar with warrior builds, but that sounds pretty good to me. I booster is fine at 10 I think. As you put more points into booster, it only reduces the amount of HP and MP used and increases the time by a little. If you have extra points at the end of second job, it doesn't hurt to add those points back into booster. I'm not sure if it is the same, but I think booster at 10 gives you 2 minutes. I decided to play some more and got to 90%... I need bow scrolls now...>.<

And uh, what I'm advising Adele to do is this:

Spear Mastery to 19
Spear Booster to 6
3 on Iron Will to unlock HB
Max Hyber Body
Polearm Mastery to 19
Polearm Booster to 6
Distribute the rest between the 2 boosters and uh, I think that's it?

Of course, if you don't want to party with us all and have us demanding HB of you 24-7, you don't have to go that route and you could get booster more to like 10 or so for your own benefit. I haven't done the math again to see how many points you can put on each booster, and I'm too lazy, but I'd advise you see how many points you have to spare before you go throwing them all over. XD
