Wizet sure has a hardon for putting monsters in inappropriate places. Iron Hogs at Pig Beach, Snails at Drake's Meal Table, and the whole Black Sack idea. I bet the GMs hang out at Pig Beach and wait for people to die from Iron Hogs so they can laugh at them. XD

As for the complaints about warriors with the whole MP deal, suck it up. Magicians can't kill without MP. Period. However, Warriors can kill (though less efficiently) without MP. They also get tons of HP and also do more damage later on. Fair enough.

Verruckter, I will never be able to fight some monsters without MG. I've seen videos of 1xx mages that still use MG because things can STILL kill them in 1 hit. That kills us with pot useage, too, because MP pots cost twice as much. By the time you're 3rd job you'll have thousands of HP whereas I might have 1k, I think? I've played with every class, and warriors don't have it as hard as you may think. They have the only mob attack in 1st job, and it remains one of the strongest mob attacks in the 2nd job. They're the first class able to hit for 1k damage, they take WAY less touch damage, they don't have to have Hyber Body to survive boss attacks, and I suspect that they will be the absolute best in the 4th job, whenever that comes out.
It helps if you've played as other classes, but they all have their disadvantages. Warriors lack range and MP, mages like HP and armor, archers are screwed if a monster gets too close, and thieves have lower attack weapons and are therefore much more expensive to fund and get to the same power as other classes. All these disadvantages are fixed as time goes on, though. Warriors get larger attack to make up for things and huge ranged attacks and MP recovery, mages get MG to act as a buffer for their low HP and they have enough magic def to soften big attacks that later monsters (plus tele helps to evade attacks), archers get mortal blow and power knockback and puppet for distracting, and thieves get money saving skills. I'd say the classes are pretty balanced in the long run, but each has its time to shine. Lots of warriors and bowmen get discouraged because their glory time is much later in the game than sins and mages. Just suck it up and keep going, because it'll be worth it eventually. EDIT: wtf Moogy?

Squeek: I need 1 more lvl to max mastery. I'll stop putting points in it at 19 because the last level only gives 1 accuracy, so it's not really worth it. And even with mastery maxed, the range is very wide. My mastery is at 16 (on 20) and my attack is 141 ~ 419.

That's weird. Mastery should shorten up your range of damage by a lot.
And yea, don't actually max mastery. That last one is a waste. EDIT: I played on my messed up Archer for a bit. I found out I messed up his stats haha. He has like 13 luk and int. As if that wasn't enough, there's the problem of having like 10 too much str that I already knew about. Yea, anyway, I used all the teeth I had on storage to get him to like 90% (I think he was like 60% at level 26), then killed a bunch of jr sents and got him the level. He is now level 27 and waiting in El Nath for me to get more teeth.

OMG OK AFRO, I ALWAYS WANTED THAT MANY MESOS... Hey.. is this a scam? No? OK YAY *trades*
Lol =P it's not really worth a huge amount of money to be honest, but I'm still happy with it. Especially on a gaia's cape. Well, back to doing what I have been for the past 3 days *sits around and does nothing while waiting for the patch* ~_~;

I have a 10 int cape too =D
But srsly. Verr, here's the thing. Magicians DO have loads of MP which is awsom!11 but... sometimes we have to use Magic Guard to train. So you basically take the damage you take to HP and the potions you consume and double them. That's our costs. Zombies do ~190 on touch without Invincible, ~150 at the 6x range with their Magical Attack (to Magicians), and ~250 with their Physical Claw (to Magicians). At level 6x, we have like 700-800 HP. So find out how many potions WE use. Except if you're a Cleric. Clerics own at everything, so if you're smart about training you can do it without using any potions. I personally have not used a mana potion since level 47 and only used Health potions when I could not Heal (sealed, stunned, etc). Also, your range is huge because you're a spearman. Fighters and pages have a lower max attack but a higher min attack range. But they also can't hit things as far away as you can. And if you're worried about range, wait until you see the third job skills which more than triple the attack radius of your weapon no matter which route you go (spear, polearm, or both). ~Squeek |

LOLZ On a more serious note, I tried the no pots at all method and it worked for a long time. Then I hit coolies and found I had to use way more MP to tele around, and if I don't tele around the exp rate isn't that fast. I'm working on maxing eater right now. I maxed bless before other stuff to get people to want to party with me more earlier on.

Decided to make a new character, I'm now a level 12 archer.
Could anyone tell me about quests? I haven't found any yet, and I heard they give you exp which I direly need. |
