To be honest, I wouldn't mind being leader, but from the looks of it a lot more people would rather have the position and would probably be better at itdue to their extreme devotion. Besides, being an FFR guild you would probably want someone who is a lot more active on FFR than I. I've been around FFR both before I had an account and on my other account for probably around 2-3 years, but I hardly ever post, and on this account in fact I have never posted out of the FFR section. Also here is something to consider. If we do decide on someone without 100 fame as guild leader, and it turns out to be a requirement, what are we going to do? Change leaders or fame/buy fame for that person? Either way I feel great that a few of you saw me as a potential leader, but it just seems that everyone else wants it more and are even willing to argue over it (though that may not be a bad thing, it is good for a leader to have a sense of power.) Finally I'd like to say this, when this is all said and done, and a guild leader is chosen, I think everyone should put all these arguements behind them and have fun with the game, I mean that is what it is there for anyway. If you guys don't we are going to have a guild full of people arguing non-stop about meaningless things such as "I should have been leader, I did such-and-such and don't do other things." If the guild turns out like this, chances are I will not stay in it for long. It seems pointless to me that you guys are even making such a big deal out of it, as said before. It's a game and all you get out of being leader is slight respect, slight power, and a high rank... With that being said, I should probably conclude this as it is becoming a rant and probably repetitve. I did'nt proofread this so sorry if there are errors.

EDIT: Afrobean, the only problem with a shared leader account, and though it is not a big one, is that if one person gets into a dispute with another and both are in the guild, in rage one may kick the other from the guild/lower his rank/do any other unfair action. Also (even less of a problem) we would have to level at least a little to get him to orbis to make the guild. Seems like too much work and too much room for actions of revenge to me, I'd say one clear-cut leader, whoever it may be.

I'd think that wouldn't be a problem, because as soon as the person did this, they'd be kicked from the guild or demoted by others. And, like I said, the password would only go to those who are trustworthy, so we wouldn't give it out to some random newb or even post it on the forums.

Like I said above, the balance of power between others would keep anyone from doing anything rash like that. I think it's really better to have anyone who is trustworthy have access because this does two things: eliminates any sort of prestige connected to being the leader and ensures that if something guild oriented is needed, it can almost surely be done no matter who is on at the time.

One last problem I see in the guld-leader-account suggestion. You said that if one person did anything that others found to be selfish and not in the best intrest of the guild with the account, that they would be demoted or kicked by other users with access to the account. You're forgetting one thing though~The pin number. Pin numbers can be changed with no additional information other than the Login ID, Password, and Current pin number. This means that anyone could change the pin at any time, as long as they had access to the account in the past. Also, I think I'm kind of looking to the worst-case scenario but from what I've seen in this thread in the past few days, I find it necessary.

Good point, and if someone goes rogue and steals the guild (why would they do this anyway?) we could just make a new one and add all the old members but the one who went crazy. Problem with this is the wasted money (which, if this plan were to be used and this were to happen, I'd most likely willingly front the meso to reinstate the guild to it's prior glory).

And even if that happens, it wouldn't be hard to disable the account entirely. Whoever signs up the account would only need to change the password for the account using the private info (birthday, last name, whatever wizet asks for if you forget your password or want to change it).

So basically, there would be no reason for one of us to basically ruin the whole guild and leave it unuseable.

4: On another note with the "whining and complaining" you talked about, let me stress again that I'm not whining or attacking people, I'm just looking at all the options. This guild stuff is a major investment for some of us. There are prolly 30 people that want in the guild, but I doubt that all 30 have the funds to contribute their part. The financial burden is gonna end up falling on those of us that have taken the time to get high levels and more money. I'll prolly end up paying for Adele's spot, at least, so I'm not gonna go rushing into this guild thing without thinking things through EXTENSIVELY. Recap: We're not whining or being mean, we're just putting lots of thought into the guild stuff and making sure we don't do anything stupid. The only people whining are the ones telling us to stop bickering about it, when really we're just talking it over. Well, Chris may be fussing a little, but that's just how he is.

5: As for the shared leader thing: NO WAY. It defeats the whole purpose of having the leader around to help. If there is a guild tax where some of our money is sent to the leader, I want the guy that is getting all those funds to be around in case I need some money loaned to me. I see the leader as a person who kinda helps us all along if we need a boost. The higher ranks within the guild will play that role, too, but the leader will be the number 1 helper, I'd think. Having some random newb account for leader completely kills that purpose, and it's more trouble than it's worth.

6: We need to go ahead and make a list of who all wants to be in the guild so we can find out how much we all need to contribute. I'm guessing we'll hold off on the emblem for now, so we need to just look at number of members and how much it costs to expand the guild to that size. Once we find out the total cost to have that many members, we can just divide the total cost by how many will join and that will be our expenses.

Since this thread is moving pretty fast, I think it'd be a good idea to have a new thread titled "FFR MS Guild info" just so we can make a list of who is in the guild and have it be on a 1st page for easy reference. The thread would be JUST for organizing the guild, and once it's finished we could either get a mod to merge the topics or lock the guild one. Some things to be discussed in the topic:

1) Who wants to be in the guild, 2) Who everybody votes for for leader, 3) Money everybody will need to pay and who is willing to pay for other people, 4) Rank names.

Whoever makes the topic needs to be able to edit in the player list. If everybody is okay with it, I'll go make the topic right now, but if you all wanna keep the discussion here, then I won't.

Still 47 and I am still strugling through finals. My friend's cleric got hacked, so all of my friends on Scania are pretty much quitting. I'm not sure if this means I'm moving back to Bera. With the whole guild thing, I was only trying to help and not actually fuel the argument. I wouldn't worry about it now until the guilds actually come out. I mean, what if they don't come out in the next update? Then you guys would be worrying about the guild for nothing. I just say, you have all the members that are going to be in the guild to take a vote. No more arguing and disputing and tearing each other's heads off... A new topic is an excellent idea.

Check out the Ludi map and note how huge the tower going from the ground to up in the air is. Way bigger than Orbis Tower, that's for sure. O__O

Anywho, I was looking around SW, and it seems MSEA got free market shops when they got guilds, along with the item pouch everybody was wanting. http://www.maplesea.com/intro/notice...notices72.aspx for the official MSEA announcement. So it may be possible that we get Free Market in the coming patch, although I've still got my fingers crossed for Ludi or the theme park...
