Also basing the round on speed of getting AAAs might not be the best idea, some people might not be available until later in the week, for example

Regarding the difficulty ranges for each division, here are the following:
D1: 1-22 D2: 23-45 (D2 players are recommended to start around difficulty 25 for the range) D3: 45-55 (Recommend to go at least difficulty 48) D4: 56-65 (Recommended to go at least difficulty 58) D5: 66-74 D6: 75-85 D7: 87+

Basically, Round 1 is to try to AAA a public song that is within the difficulty ranges of your division posted above as fast as you can for your team. Yes, you can submit non-AAA scores you have played in the round as placeholders.

This is not necessarily a AAA fest based round; however, it is a strong focus for it. If no teams do achieve a full team AAA, then teams that are the closest will have the credits added to the team pot. We will try our best to avoid the AAA based stuff to the best of our abilities for now. My apologies for any inconveniences.

The issue with the set-up for this round is threefold:
* Binary goal * Real time focused * Exclusionary difficulty The issue with AAA-ing things is that it's binary: either you have it or you don't. The issue with real time being an aspect is that some people are just busier than others, some people won't see this until the following day, etc. That last point isn't entirely obvious, but, well... you went off the token unlocks, which do vary from the division boundaries. I'd say that the average FFR-er can AAA something 2 or 3 levels below their own level, with some fluctuation in both directions (your own +9 Flight of the Bumblebee, my -9 ABCDEath until I got HELLBEAT for -2) So what levels can actually do this? 1-27 (Excite Bike), 30-45, 53-54, 60-64, 68-78, 81-86, 90+ D1 is fine, D2 is mostly fine, D3 is screwed, D4-D7 should probably have had the screws loosened a bit. So yeah. Even though I got my AAA and unlocked Scarhand because of this, the more I think about this round the less well designed it seems.

i'm not complaining, i just figured i'd be able to slide in a couple scores in the team tourney cuz last year, it was run more like fun little events every round like get as many total perfect notes as a team as you can and stuff along those lines, and not so much AAA or die.

As far as the round itself....I honestly should have thought it out a bit more cautiously (mainly in the difficulty ranges of the divisions). I will try my best to adjust the ranges slightly to make it easier (and a possibility of changing the objective from AAA to under 30 Raw Goods). The goal of the round is to discuss with your teammates song(s) that are strong candidates for acquiring a small number of goods. Also, keep in mind that this is the first tournament I have ever hosted, so if anyone does have suggestions on how to make this tournament better in future rounds, then I encourage you to let me or Deadlyx39 know, okay?
