It's the same general idea that we had for the "put FFR at the end of your name on windia." It's forming a crew/group of people that are like OSHI, WE BE DA CRIPS and the others are like ORLY, DEN WE B DA BLODS

Guilds are gonna cost 1.5kk to make and you start with 10 spots i believe. Then its an extra 500k to put 5 more spots.

Damnit Squeak, you beat me to it, I saw this at about 1 A.M. this morning and I was gonna post it here today. Well anyway Guilds are definately coming out, but thats not the "Big Update" that they are talking about. If you look on the website, the guilds article is where the 3rd job suprise used to be. Now in addition to guilds being there, a "Big Update" picture is shown with 2 characters in a new map (that looks suspiciously like Kms' new map) while one is holding a level 80 dagger (can't remember the name.) So my guess is we get Kms' safari looking map and level 80 drops. Oh and here is the picture for those of you who are too lazy to go look at mapleglobal.com.

Strange, jMS/kMS only just got guilds pretty recently. I figured it'd be forever until we did. Oh well.

Hopefully we get ludi soon. Then I'll level ridiculously quickly.

As it is.. I just hit 52. I know I'm behind. Bah. I'm gonna try out fire drakes, and if those work out well, I'll stay there. Otherwise I'll stick at lorangs. I have 5 points in med right now. For the next two levels, I'll put 2 points in ice, and one in med, then ice will be maxed and I'll go about maxing med.

I see nothing there about having 100 fame, or about paying a % to the guild leader (like a tax). That's good.

And @Eric: We've been getting things pretty fast. I dunno. Nothing should really take long. Only tranlation and some simple changes to things if they want it. Nothing should take long to implement if we're not getting it first.

Uh, those plants don't look any different from the ones near Ellinia. And we wouldn't get kMS's specific area, we'd get the theme park and hopefully Cody would either gtfo of Hene or he'd be who you talk to if you wanna get to the park. But yeah, level 80 equips is a possibility, and hopefully they'll add some new pets (pandapandapanda), but I really hope they add a new map or two. Every good spot in Ossy and Victoria is crowded, even on Bera. =\

Oh, and I've been seeing some anti-I/L sentiment lately. As much as I hate to admit it, F/P mages are not the absolute best no matter what. We get the strongest mob attack (explosion) and due to poison damage, we can outdamage a I/L mage using thunderspear (unless they're on a lit-weak monster, but we won't have many of those until Ludi comes out). However, Ice Strike is the most far-reaching and spammable mob attack ever. Only Dragon Roar has higher range, if I'm not mistaken. And just to prove how eXtreme the skill is, I got a crappy SS for you of when I was running to Balrog last night. A high level I/L mage showed up and jumped up onto the platform at the end of Sanc3. Observe:



I didn't jump down in time to get a good SS, but you see that dead taurospear? You see that ice mage up top? Yeah, she sat and shot it with Ice Strike until it died, without endangering herself at all. There are several spots in the sanctuary maps where you can snipe tauros (and any cold eyes that jump up) with ice strike. It may not be as powerful as explosion, but it's a bit faster and has huge range. So if you're an I/L wiz, don't get discouraged, just look to the beautiful future. ;D

EDIT: Btw, click on the "surprise" on the right to look at the Guild info. Here's some snippets:

1. Requirements to Build a Guild
A party of exactly 6 members and 1,500,000 mesos. Once you have met this requirement, go to Heracle in Orbis. The party leader must pay the 1,500,000 guild registration fee.

Banditcom will have to make it if the 100 fame req is in Global, too, but I suggest we all chip in for the 1.5m cost. It's not much for us higher leveled kids to chip in (150k each for the first 10 players), but some of you may want to start saving up for it. Also, check out the prices for expanding the guild list. 3.5m mesos to expand from 25 to 30 players. Start saving up, guys. ;D

I hope they add something to guilds so Maple Story won't become one of those games you won't have to shell out a bajillion mesos just so you can have a guild chat option and a pretty little picture next to your name (after you've paid about 10 million mesos). They didn't really mention any advantages to having a guild, the announcement pretty much just says "Hey, look everyone, guilds!"

In game earlier we pretty much came to a decision. Seems that the initial six (I think it was something like: me, noah, bandit, oni, and someone else) will split the cost of starting it, then anyone who wants to join in addition pays for part of the extension of the guild.

Either way, it can go up to 35 or something so there's definitely gonna be enough room total.

I'm starting to recall reading somewhere that this safari place was kms exclusive also now that you mention it. Well those still don't look like Ellinia plants to me, and I've never really believed that we would get a "Theme Park." I personally think that that was just a quest to give us a Maple Flag and maybe get a little bit of money out of the economy. If we get a theme park then I also want to see Blackbull's house, I mean I did his quest too. Well even if it is not the safari-looking place (wish I knew what it was called) I think it might be an outdoor type place. Or who knows we might get ludi, or we might get nothing at all.

Oh and to Afrobean, I don't know too much about the Kms map but it looks like the have a darker forest area with little blue flames (which from what I understand turn into some kind of golem when they are killed, kind of like how a Jr. Yeti transforms) so it is very possible that there may also be undeads in the darker parts of the world. I do not know for sure though, so don't take my word for it.

Edit: Emccky I have been asking around and from what I hear, guild chat is one of the features such as all, party, and buddy chat. Sounds legitimate to me, but I'm not 100% sure.
