Seriously though, I'm having a grand time trying to gauge the first day's reactions and will do my best to make more of a comprehensive post before this day phase is up tomorrow.
I wouldn't worry about Yoshl right now if anyone is frightened, especially newer players (I feel like a hypocrite for saying newer players rofl). As far as I can discern, posting patterns like Yoshl's are really beneficial right now, especially with the lack of general consensus and direction.
To address newer players, you've probably seen some sort of the word "meta" being used here, and that just means that people are trying to read into another actions based on previous games. They're trying to ping out inconsistencies between games to get wolf tells.
Whether that's really the best strategy is up for debate. During this first day I'm opting to try to see how the thread and posts "flow" and if I feel any weird interjections/out of place posts, I'll make a note of it. Again, this is all based on gut reading, but it's a little less dangerous than just meta-ing someone's previous games.Comment

also i'm going to point out that meta is next to useless for players like me who don't have as much experience playing this game with the same people multiple times.
so for newer players, you need to sort out a better way to reason since you don't have a history to rely on. again, I suggest looking at the flow of the thread.Comment

essentially, we want to make the best decisions possible when making our lynches, because it's the only way that we can kill wolves in this game. by not saying anything, you're basically handing yourself to the rest of the players as a wild-card, and it makes it really tough, especially come later in the game. so just post whatever; if you haven't noticed, alot of this has been pretty conversational, sans mashi's super mega post and stuff. please post, it really helps town

Just wanted to throw that in there for the newer players. Since wolves are wolves, it is sometimes to their benefit to lie and deliberately spread misinformation throughout the town. On the flip side, it's also possible for humans to make mistakes regarding their leans, opinions, ideas, strategies, etc. So it's everyone's responsibility to judge which of the two cases it is; everyone should just remember that both cases exist and that "wrong" does not equal "wolf".Comment
