Re: Misc. progress thread
Nicely done.
Getting the results you want is really what makes it all worth it. Very motivating to finally realize you can control and improve your body.

Re: Misc. progress thread
No, it's not weird. Interacting with others makes fitness a lot easier. It helps with accountability and motivation.
I have gym partners, shared logs and whatnot that we use to track progress. There are lots of ways to do it. If anything I only recommend you continue to talk/share with others, whether here or irl, it definitely helps all around.

Re: Misc. progress thread

starting july 21st, 21 - 2400 22 - 2555 23 - 3165 24 - 2550 25 - 2070 26 - 1722 27 - 1900 28 - 1795 29 - 1845 30 - 2020 rocky start but got a better routine and I'm not having as many urges to eat more than I should. still eat chocolate sometimes tho idgaf

Re: Misc. progress thread
That's alright, I always recommend people still eat something they really enjoy. IF it fits your macros, or your caloric intake, then whatever. Enjoy it. You don't have to eat boring foods 100% of the time.

Re: Misc. progress thread
it honestly feels more rewarding to eat something that's richer in fat/calories when limiting its intake throughout the week.
guess that would apply for anything though

Re: Misc. progress thread
Damn, very nice work!
I'm just about down to 180. A few more lbs and I'll probably just stop. Not as lean as I would like but I'm bored of cutting. lol

Re: Misc. progress thread
If I'm losing weight should I adjust the amount of calories I eat progressively? Or just keep within the same range until I reach my target weight

Re: Misc. progress thread
Keep the same range until you reach your target weight. At that point just slowly up your cals until your weight balances out.

Re: Misc. progress thread
lol, 179!
Finally broke the 180 barrier. I still have annoying curves, though. I guess I was warned about this. At some point I have to start making muscle-building a priority to help fill things out. Otherwise I am always going to look like a garbage bag full of corn flakes. Last edited by Reincarnate; 08-19-2015 at 04:57 PM.. |

Re: Misc. progress thread
Start bulking soon.
Once you build up muscle, it'll give you the shape you want. Chest/delts/lats need to fill out in order to give you a V taper, and your waist will look 10x better because of it + building leg and butt muscle helps the waist look smaller as well.

Re: Misc. progress thread
Just for the hell of it, woot:
Reach: The #1 thing (or rather, things) right now stopping me from being all gung-ho about a bulk is the fact that I still have a gut/"overhang" and man boobs. It just feels like the only way to get rid of both is to cut, but maybe I'm underestimating the benefits of muscle at this point. Last edited by Reincarnate; 08-19-2015 at 09:33 PM.. |

Re: Misc. progress thread
I CAN DO A PULLUP NOW!
AHHHHHHHH This is probably trivial to people who have decent strength / bodyweight, but for me it's always been this unachievable thing -- this is so awesome. Last time I tried a pullup, I weighed a lot more, and couldn't hold onto the bar for more than 5 seconds if my life depended on it. Felt a lot like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xF0ekZztOA&t=3m20s Last edited by Reincarnate; 08-19-2015 at 11:00 PM.. |
