Paladins should be the best to AoE tanking. Druids should be damage soakers and OTs for bosses that have a Hateful Strike-like effect. DKs should be a mixture of everything. They should nerf and buff things so you must have one of everything in a raid and not just have 3 pally tanks/DKs/druids. Because you can easily do this.

Re: World of Warcraft
There are tons of DK's. Private servers suck ass btw...it's not really a whole lot of fun to basically walk your way though raids. Unless the server is balanced well such as the real WoW server...it's basically easy mode.

Re: World of Warcraft
Probably because most people that rolled DK were either scrub players or were sick of their main.

Re: World of Warcraft
Well, frankly warriors -should- get such an ability. Between Divine Plea and Spiritual Attunement, I'm at full mana for the entire length of boss fights while main tanking.
Blessing of Sanctuary for paladins means that we don't have to fill the attack table with mostly block anymore (since we basically needed to take damage to get healed to get mana back) now I can mana up on dodges and parries too, it dovetails precisely with my perferred tanking itemization. No reason why warriors should need a paladin around to get the same benefits. |

Re: World of Warcraft
Paladin seals now last 30 minutes.
One less thing to worry about during a long boss fight, and one less thing to try to squeeze into a rotation.

Because why play a warlock when you can play one in plate?

Re: World of Warcraft
This made my day:
They need RAGE, so stop tip toeing around the issue and remove all rage penalties for switching stances already. Warriors should be the ultimate toe to toe fighter. They can’t heal for crap, can’t escape or control the fight like other classes and have crap for range DPS. So what should they be able to do? They should be able to smash any classes face when up close. Who cares if removing the rage penalty for stance dancing gives them a full bar of rage, with the amount that this class gets kitted around, if you let one get close you deserve to get stomped. And while were on the topic warriors should get rage from every thing because everything should piss them off. Hitting bubble should give them rage, missing should give them rage, having to switch stances should give them rage just for the simple fact that they were forced to switch to counter one thing or another. Hell warriors should even get rage for other classes looking at them. That’s right give all classes a “don’t make eye contact with the warrior” skill. So for the love of god, give these juggernauts the rage that should be theirs by right so they can be a viable PVP class again. Then I can sit back, cast FOL and BOF on them and watch the carnage while every other class complains how OP they are totally ignoring the obviousness of the overpowered paladin healer keeping them up. Thank you and good night.

Re: World of Warcraft
If you are a melee class why on earth would you worry about ranged attacking anyway?
It's not like I'm gonna go get a warrior to stand at max gun range to get in some sweet shots

Re: World of Warcraft
Well, he was pointing to the lack of ranged DPS as a reason why Warriors should be even better at single target tanking than the other tanking classes. I was just pointing out that at least they get -some- ranged DPS. If there's a fight where I need to be staying out of melee range, I could do more DPS as a warrior than as a paladin. Though generally if the paladin is DPS or a tank and needs to stay out of melee, they turn into a crappy raid healer instead.
I've been in fights where a warrior needed to stand at range and just shoot instead. Kel-thuzad with one too many melee DPS. If they stand too close together, you're asking for a wipe, but there wasn't room for a 4th DPS in range, so gun it was. |

Re: World of Warcraft
That was me copy-pasting off the WoW forums. A paladin posted this.
I've killed people in PvP while they were running away with my gun(Intercept was down). The phoenixes in The Eye needed a person at max range(I did that). All this was more of a PvP sort of thing. And I know I play a warrior, but I fully agree. Warriors should be the best toe to toe fighters in the game against other melee. Other classes CAN kill us(Rogues and other melee people), but they have to either out skill or out gear us. Rogues can destroy me easily, stun locks + dismantle = useless while I get raped. Ret paladins have killed me in 4 quick hits(Hurray Seal of Casino). Death Knights hit me for 4k damage normally for some odd reason and even with my resil being at roughly 350 in my PvP gear, they crit still for almost 6k damage which is absurd. Same with Feral Druids, they hit ridiculously hard and do so much burst damage we can't compete. Enhancement shamans are a bitch now too with Maelstrom or w/e(I think they can insta-heal or some **** like that). We should get the ability to just kill someone in a few hits because we can't CC someone, heal ourselves or just do retardedly high burst damage. And clothies should easily be killed in a few shots... Mace + cloth over skin =/= good protection.

Re: World of Warcraft
I was using the talent calculator thing and i figured out that i can easily get one piece of savage glad a week to start me off with pvp gear. I get enough points even losing all 10 games.
Then i found out you can get hateful gladiator with emblem things. Could they have made it any easier. And you can get a pvp trinket with like 25 of those wg tokens. All in all i should be in full epics in no time. GG wotlk. Somehow i have 3,000 gold and nothing i need to buy. Guess there's no reason to farm anymore. Ran some heroics and i could have sworn they were normal 80 instances. Why is there no cc, and no challenge to heroics anymore? You should not be able to aoe a heroic. Re: World of Warcraft
Yeah from 25mans... All the badges you'd get even if every week you got the Satchel of Spoils from OS would be ~25 badges. That's one piece a week for two weeks, then you'd ahve to wait even longer to get the other pieces.

Re: World of Warcraft
But that is ontop of arena points. To me it seems like free arena gear.
Btw i got satchel of spoils last night. We were about the fight the dragon and i kept asking what the strat was, because i had never been there before. They kept saying like... um stand in between the stuff and something uh.. ok. I didnt move the whole fight and i took maybe 1k damage at most. Why is there no need for raid coordination or anything. Tank and spank on a 25 man raid. Also rolled 2nd highest on tier 7.5 gloves but it went to someone who replaced his tier 7 gloves. That's fair. |

Re: World of Warcraft
I wasn't around for the pre-BC to BC transition, but I imagine that people in late AQ40 - early Naxx40 (and especially so for late Naxx40 folks) gear went into the early BC raids (Karazhan, Gruul's, etc.) with a similar reaction of "WTF raids are easy now," (I'm thinking primarily about how paladins and shamans became available to both factions) but Vashj and Kael'thas happened and suddenly there was a real challenge. Who's to say that a similar scenario won't eventually play out for WotLK?
