![]() I need a working link to Mina Minimegapack 2, because the Mediafire link's busted due to copyright issues.

![]() Welp, I haven't updated this list in a very very long time, and I know you all want me to do so. But I've been doing this for like 3 years and I'm tired of it and I can clearly see there are people out there that would take better care of this than me at this point. Whatever enthusiasm I had for keeping all this up to date and in order is gone for me now. I would like to pass this thread on to someone else now. I don't know who, but someone who has a passion for StepMania as strong as I once did, and someone who cares about what new packs are released and doesn't mind adding less popular packs to the list. If someone at has made a pack of 2 files and wants it in the list, they should not be turned away. And lastly you should be able to upload files to replace links (something I've had trouble with all this time due to my bad upload speed). So whoever wants to volunteer to put the time and effort into maintaining this wonderful list of packs for all stepmania users, you can make a new thread. And feel free to use any links accumulated in the original post of this thread or any posts throughout.
Originally I made my list so people would have the packs on Stepmania Online, that was my initial reason for making this list. Btw, my mediafire could potentially be getting shut down soon: Last edited by icontrolyourworld; 12-14-2012 at 10:43 PM.. |

![]() Mediafire has been clamping down hard lately. All of my packs are marked as "copyright violations", although they haven't been removed altogether (only I can download them) and I haven't received any strikes against my account. I reuploaded some of my packs on a different Mediafire account (with modifications to not set off the duplicate file detectors) and they were immediately flagged once I updated the links on my site.
Mediafire does provide an avenue to contest the claims, which I would do, except then I would have to prove the legality of simfiles. I'm looking at other filehosts at the moment, but none are as fast as Mediafire. Hopefully somebody picks this thread up, but the amount of reuploading one would have to do to keep it useful is daunting. Of course, if you have internet that's not capped at 1MBPS, it might be slightly less daunting. ![]()

![]() I think if we want to be serious about this kind of thing mediafire or ANY big file sharing site is just not the way to go. We need some kind of community ftp where people can submit packs (and the owners can either make it available or not) and other people can download anything there.

![]() If someone else is willing to take over this thread, let me know and I can merge your post so you can become the new OP. You have to be up to the task though.

Hou isn't willing to sift through these threads to download packs from random places one at a time.
Although I am willing to do it. I just have to download anything I don't already have. I could also change the downloads page to be more organized or include more relevant information. The original point was just to have the common stuff to reduce the amount of people lacking files online. Last edited by Izzy; 12-17-2012 at 02:16 AM.. |

We really need to get these packs off of mediafire and other file sharing websites out of user control, and put them somewhere like SMO as soon as possible. Also as far as this thread goes, you've already seen I went through EVERY pack link and mirror already in the past to test working / broken links fairly quickly. Considering I am on FFR as well as SMO every day for at least a little while, I don't think I would have any problem managing this thread in terms of detecting broken links or new packs through FFR or SMO. Plus I could thumb through the indeed pack engine search and probably turn up a few things that were never added here, and could update new mirrors / packs / links rather easily. Monotonous tasks are my thing, they really are.

![]() Maybe some of the people with many hundreds of packs (icy, me, Stai?, etc.) could help just upload them to the server. No need to download from random links when people have already done this.
