I'll make you proud -- this is now for you. No way man, that would cause more issues -- I know lag is unfair and all but that's not a pragmatic solution. It would disadvantage people like me who have certain events occur if the schedule doesn't follow it's regular pace. Also I had zero additional lag occur to me, (except the slow site a few days ago for everyone) are we able to pinpoint what may cause this lag for only certain people? Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Yeah, this input lag makes it hard to play this game.

From what I recall from talking with Jae, round closure is manual, so extensions are possible--just not on an individual basis.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
So I might actually get eliminated this early, I'm not even having lag problems, it's just I have so little speed compared to EVERYONE else that I can't FC my song anymore....
The only prize I even care about this year was getting a gift bag. I'm probably just gonna quit FFR for a month or two if I get eliminated. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I highly suggest people to play on R^2 if they are experiencing lag on Velocity.
My plans will be a bit messed up as far as the prizes if the round is extended... as I already planned out how I was going to ship them out. But I could make adjustments. 00Razor00 - That sucks.. I'm sorry you have to drop out I hope your score stays in top 32 so you can atleast win something from me. Btw I want to make a reminder to these people in D6: Top 32 scores at July 28th 11:58 pm Server Time (unless round extension is in effect) from this round will get a gift bag from me. So even if you are in the yellow elimination color you can still earn something. You are just an inch away from being a winner! Gift bags will include many video game, anime and Pokemon items including stickers, figures, keychains, etc... , FFR Keychain + more!!!! Also know that top 32 gift bags will contain less items than the top 24 gift bags. Top 16 Gift bags will contain more goodies than Top 24 and so on and so forth. I will post one more reminder 24 hours before the round ends or something. --------------------------------------------- So far will be getting gift bags/but in danger of being eliminated (if not improved or surpassed) : --------------------------------------------- alloyus Jerry DB stavie33 Clipso Elite Ninja scottiena Dynam0 --------------------------------------------------------- People who could improve their scores a bit and get a prize --------------------------------------------------------- MrPreggers Plan_Bsk81127 EAGAMES Ziergdsx18 remedy1502 Herogashix Sakish And a note that Division 4 and Division 5 will have the gift bag cut off the next round (top 16).. so please try your hardest to make it to the next round for your chance!=] Last edited by colt.45; 07-26-2012 at 12:17 AM.. |

I'll leave this here and keep laughing at how he avoided D6 while I didn't.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Will the 17th place get a prize if you get into the top 16? (I'm pretty sure you will.) Also no extensions please, if I do somehow make it into the final rounds I don't want school to interfer with playing. (Nor do I want people to have more time to pass me out. :c)

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
A week to you. To those with lag, it's only been the first 20 minutes of the round, when the game didn't lag. Since then, a lot of us haven't been able to get lag-free runs in. So the days are just wasting away unfairly for us because of technical issues

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Well said. I had to use legacy this round, and it's the first time I've ever had to switch back to it due to lag. I definitely can't continue on like this -- I was lucky Shotgun Surgery was a relatively consistent file.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
While I do feel bad for the people who are lagging (I'm one of them, but I was lucky enough to get a somewhat-lagless round in), I'm going to have to side with not having an extension.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Extensions don't help me very much, and I've managed myself past computer failures to get a respectable score. On Velocity, the engine everyone is griping about.
Also, I don't think extensions should be done considering the alternatives. I noticed zero lag coming from my personal machines, just the one I had that was literally older than dirt****. Not to mention: all the standalone options, engine choices (even just the two for non-vets)... So yeah, gonna side against since I don't see this being an issue of complete unplayability, just a lack of attempted alternatives.
