Quality control isn't a term solely defined for one person.


edit: on a side note, a lot of people seem to do this, but one's performance on a song certainly doesn't correlate to the file's quality. But people seem to equate these two unfairly almost all the time. They can't find anyone to blame, so guess what's the next best thing to blame.

Yeah, I loved it

If the file was a minute or so longer and 1.2x the speed, it would've made siiiiiiiick jumpstream practice for some of the harder files in the tourney

I shouldn't say it's not well thought out, that's not really fair. You clearly put time into it. It's just awkward as hell to me; I can't quite put my finger on it, so to speak. It's really the last section of jumpstream that bothers me. I haven't played it with my expensive headphones yet, so perhaps I'm not hearing all the sounds in the song, but it just seems to me that jumps are there that shouldn't be.

None of this is personal by the way. My last post was a little bit more rude than it should have been, I'm sorry. I guess I'm a little bitter because I was expecting to not have any problems with the songs until later rounds.

Performance on a song? Three goods is decent enough for me. Even if I had sightread AAA the thing I would still have the same opinion. Even if I go back and AAA it now, I will still hold this opinion. What you said is actually an unfair thing to say, considering I have AAAs on files I consider to be quite awkward, and do not have AAAs on files I don't find to be awkward. It's all opinion or perception or whatever you want to call it. I'm not "blaming" anyone or anything for anything. I admit my comment about quality control was probably uncalled for, but you're generalizing in an unfair way.

On a side note, is anyone willing to make a youtube video of themselves playing Ambient Angels. It's for DJ Gammer himself so I can send him a video of what it looks like. It'll most likely be posted on his blog as well, so you'll need to have the audio properly audible.

On a side note, is anyone willing to make a youtube video of themselves playing Ambient Angels. It's for DJ Gammer himself so I can send him a video of what it looks like. It'll most likely be posted on his blog as well, so you'll need to have the audio properly audible.

For those who use the Velocity engine and want to do this, it would be nice if you turn on the song descriptions in the settings menu. That way, you can briefly see song info like "DJ Gammer" during gameplay.

Please do, it'll benefit both Gammer and FFR, because it's more exposure for both.
Maybe we'll get even more uk hardcore and freeform DJ permissions this way. 8)
