im actually liking the feedback im getting.. even though my files got denied for reasons i understand XD
and before anyone has an emotional breakdown about having a file rejected and you go slit your wrist, its just to help you be a better simfile maker! just to bring this up :P (not that anyone would REALLY take it that personally, but yea) alot of the feedback i got had something to do with cutting down jumps as well.. so now i know to cut down jumps for example =) im not trying to suck up or be an asshole or anything, im just making a point since this pack is turning out really good. |

@comments on Jimbo files: I liked the direction some of your files were going in F5, especially Checking You Out. Jumps don't need to be limited, but there shouldn't be more than is necessary. Jumps should either be placed on accented notes or consistantly where a secondary instrument is appearing that stands out because it is limited.
Actually, different people use jumps differently, but that's my take on it. The point is, they shouldn't be random. If something in the music is repeated exactly, the jumps should go to the same notes. There should be no more and no less. We should really make a sticky discussing simfile techniques and stuff. |
