Self-projecting a bit here? This might be human nature for a teenage boy, (or a sexually inexperienced man who's sexuality hasn't matured since puberty, in which case this is NOT a normal situation) but any normal father or guardian would be anything but attracted to a young girl (or boy for that matter). I'd like to see how many pedophiles have had a history of normal sexual relationships with people their age versus pedophiles with little to no sexual experience with real people. It doesn't seem to be a matter of simply not wanting women their age, but being sexually inactive since teenage years stunting the growth of their sexuality. They end up degenerating into a pedophile over time because they are sexually focused on the same demographic that they've always fantasized about but never matured with. Just my thought though.

It was pretty normal at one point in time for 14-16 year old girls to get pregnant and be mothers. Just because life expectancy has risen from 40 to 80 doesn't mean anything else has changed. Other than what is socially acceptable to do.

The point wasn't just being socially acceptable. The point was that people were attracted to them and had no issues with getting a girl, who has just gone through puberty, pregnant.

Huge difference between a 14 year old who has matured already and a 14 year old who hasn't. Biology isn't that black and white, so again, what is your point?
The main reason it's "wrong" is because of religious puritanism which has gone unquestioned over the centuries, but that doesn't mean they are right. (Neither does it mean they are wrong btw, but to not question it is stupid and narrowminded. There's better means to determine it than just saying "it's wrong because it's wrong")
