#1: (assuming I got it right) 5/10 for the problem, 7/10 for silly wording

#3: infinity/10 because I still don't understand the question

We smart people hate #2.

We think about it in so many ways that the stupid riddle answer just isn't apparent.

I have 1 and 3 thanks to being able to mentally reword the problem. The bonus is still something I don't care for, and I still cannot get #2.

Ya, I agree with Shash. #2 and the bonus were the easiest ones, even though Reach didn't rate them that way. I'd put their difficulties like this though.

Agreed, that's why I had assumed my score was the same as yours. Regardless, it's about to get passed.


I actually thought the bonus was the strongest problem on the board (but not necessarily the hardest). Last week's were better than this weeks, if only because of the wording. However, I still applaud Reach for compiling and editing them and running the game.

I got #2 while on the bus ride to my LSAT class. Yay.

I rather dislike that problem, since it basically boils down to trying a million things until something works. Good riddles should be more about inspiration than trial and error =/

Anyway, I've submitted my answers to Reach. With any luck I didn't make a major ****up, and I will be the first with a perfect score for the week :>

How else are you supposed to do a pattern recognition problem, then? I tried all the obvious ones out, yes, but it was only after looking at the numbers for a long time that I noticed some things. One thing led to another and I solved it. There was certainly more inspiration than trial and error for me.

My beef was with numbers 1 and 3. I didn't think those were appropriate, but it's Reach's game.
