I appreciate the explanation but it does not really change my standpoint that it is essentially encouraging him to pretend not to be here even if he can be here, if you defend him with the caveat in advance? Perhaps I did take "it's game time" more aggressively than you meant it.

I think any reads on an AFK are bound to change once they return. People do reads on AFKs like this all the time; is this not similar?

But yeah like, why isn't it you started them null because they're not here and then if they come back, based on what they say switch them either way? Cuz there's probably some meta I wasn't there for but if it's not that I'm lost
