Re: New Song Artist's Special Batch - Submission Open !
Psychologically, it's natural for a lot of people to hold off on something until the deadline nears. So I'd expect some notes to come pretty much near the last minute.
However, if we do get all of the notes early, the notes can be released earlier as well. That'd be awesome. |

Re: New Song Artist's Special Batch - Submission Open !
Might want to change the topic title cause it says submissions are still open.
Also, which teams are judging what? What are the set of files that were assigned to each team? |

Re: New Song Artist's Special Batch - Submission Open !
I'm not sure if we are supposed to tell you that lmao
@Xayphon: When you get to the point where you fully understand a file without even questioning yourself that you do, judging files are rather simple. You just know exactly what to look for without ever having to think about it. For example, there are some people in the FFR judge list who have only made like one or a few good files in their lifetime and have little/no judging experience. Those judges would take a longer time finishing their notes then the ones who have been judging forever and have made several good files. (Also, when I mean good files, I mean good 4-key files and when I mean judging experience, I mean people who have been judging 4-key files for a while and when I mean a while, I mean at least over a year or two.) PS: Also, how strict and picky you are plays a part in that too hehe

Re: New Song Artist's Special Batch - Submission Open !
I have very little judging experience outside of FFR/KBO and I've never been a judge for a keyboard pack that actually finished, so I find that to be an incredibly elitist statement. <_<
Just because a person has slightly less experience in a general aspect of 4-key charting doesn't make them less suitable for judging, and I'd also like to make it clear that past two years of 4-key charting on an SM level have been incredibly monotonous and boring for the most part, due to people expecting/wanting the same thing over and over again. EDIT: also counter-example to Byron's point - FFR was my first true judging job and I was the first person to finish notes for the first three batches I had while having the most detailed notes Last edited by TC_Halogen; 07-30-2011 at 11:09 PM.. |

Well I don't know how you guys do it that fast xD. I'm judging at a rate of about 3 files a day so far lmfao. I'll try to get it done asap though.

Re: New Song Artist's Special Batch - Submission Closed
I would not be surprised if this happens. FFR is like a cycle, it never stops until something huge were to interrupt that cycle and that "something" is extremely rare.

I barely have any judging experiences. All I can do so far is point out misrythms, jump inconsistency, syncing issues and fun factor of course, which have to be the basics I bet. But giving suggestions on how to change certain aspects or parts of a file is not possible for me without serious thinking, haha. Even when I start thinking about it I still have a very unconfident feeling whether it's being correct or not. I'm even unconfident with my english being correct or not all the time, so yeah. Also I'm pretty sure I'd be extremely biased with song choices when judging files. I'd find, for example, Terminal 11 songs good and Techno stuff boring etc. Gosh even this little amount of text took me some time to write down lmao |

Re: New Song Artist's Special Batch - Submission Closed
From what I remember, the hard songs batch is going to be after this one? I'm not entirely sure about that though, so don't hold it against me.
