Re: Touhou Project
I did a border of life remix... oh wait I forgot to post the link <_<
Ahem. Anyway, I haven't done anything with StepMania yet because I keep looking at the garbled fonts that are supposed to be Japanese and I can't stand it... I have to get Japanese working on my computer first or I'll rip my hair out ;_; It's a really strange problem... if you really care, you could always look at my forum post on the issue: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...54#post2423254 The important part: It appears that the issue is the local system, because Japanese shows up just fine over the Internet in unicode most of the time (but some sites need shift-jis) and all of my file folders in Japanese show up perfectly as long as the file or folder in question isn't on my computer (if it's over the network it works just fine). What is going on? It's really annoying me, especially because I had it working perfectly before, but then, through a series of long and unimportant events, I had to get a new computer and after building it this time it doesn't want to work <_< EDIT: Fixed it! Unicode is working now. It turns out I forgot to tell my computer to use it after installing it :V The good news is that, in the process, I wasted time installing fonts, so I have close to a gig of them... Overkill. Now after I get everything off of my dad's PC I'll get to work. (and test the Xbox Controller Driver). Last edited by sonicbhoc; 09-15-2006 at 05:03 PM.. |

Re: Touhou Project
I have to Bump this.
Seriously, people need to get this one finished. I love the steps that have already been made (and I love the songs themselves even more) and it would be nice to have a pack of 50 or so of them. Ya'll should try and get Blurk on this one, I bet he could m,ake some wicked **** with these songs.....

Also the steps are really hard to make, but that's what makes the files so fun. But still, there is a lot more touhou that can be stepped.

Re: Touhou Project
........Damn.
Lol, I really like every step I've played for this pack. I just saw it as one of the best packs ever (semi) created. If there is anything else anyone (good) could step, please do.

Good luck with that since Rewind has been telling me he would make another simfile but he hasn't gone about doing that yet.

Re: Touhou Project
so... who's up for making a theme? :P (and if we do make one should it be SM3.9 or SM4.0? ) Seriously, it's not like we don't have more than enough time to make one.
Well, I haven't got much done thanks to my kernel's xbox controller driver being about 12 revisions behind the newest ones ( and lacking dance pad support ), and homework, the fact that I didn't read the instructions before trying to compile stepmania and wondered why it didn't work, homework, the fact that I have been trying to write an ebuild for stepmania cvs versions for Gentoo Linux, and did I mention homework? Oh yeah, and I got a lot of new songs to step. I have recently become accostumed to vocal songs, so I have lots of songs to do now. Last edited by sonicbhoc; 09-28-2006 at 09:56 AM.. |

Re: Touhou Project
Wewt... I went through my collection and decided to pick out some vocals because I didn't really have any good ones in my folder. My WIP folder as of now looks like this:
Artist - Song - Album: Completion Masayoshi Minoshima - Colorful Path - trace|phantasmagoria: finished standard, heavy is just started JOYH-TV - 無何有の÷ ~ Deep Mountain - Cradle 東¹幻樂祀典- Disc2 - Club Remixes Side: Barely started. Might scrap it, but I love this song. ó鹸屋 - 東¹萃夢ó ~end of strong~ - 東方不可拘束~the maximum moving about!~: Empty .sm file. This song is a medim on my priority list. Sonic Revolution - 『偽』- Repository ~夢葬回帰: Empty .sm file. Very high on the priority list. みずきともえ - フォルスストロベリー - Strawberry_Cranberry: Empty .sm file. Not high on the priority list, although I like the song. Alstroemeria Records - Force of Sixty Years feat. ayaka - A. aurantiaca: Empty .sm file. Very high on the priority list. A marathon song at over 8:00. 柳英一郎 - 鋼の意思 ~Iron Will Maiden~ - 東方小曲集 -唯我独尊-: Empty .sm file. A little High on my priority list. Also, this album is awesome. SYNC.ART'S - 竹取飛翔 -Vocal- - 絢爛華麗: Empty .sm file. A medium-high on my priority list. Sound Online - Machine Ensemble - Blaze: Empty .sm file. Medium on the priority list. ak - Mayohiga ~遠野幻想~ - 東方埋奏録 TO-HO may so ROCK!: Yes, touhou may so rock. Empty .sm file, Medium-high on the list, and the song is great. LUV2 & 彦心 - moon night -Lunatic- - Sacred Treasure: Empty .sm file. Medium-low on the priority list, but I like the song. The singer sounds a little off in some places, but it's over all great. 柳英一郎 - ネクロサーヴァント ~Mortal Portal~ - 東方小曲集 -唯我独尊-: Empty .sm file. Very high on my priority list, because this song is freaking awesome. IOSYS - Phantasmagoria mystical expectation - 東方風櫻宴 Phantasmagoria mystical expectation: Empty .sm song. This song is beyond awesome. Very high on my priority list. Masayoshi Minoshima - Pinky Girls Story - trace|phantasmagoria: Finished standard, heavy about half done. Sonic Revolution - silent ensemble - Repository ~夢葬回帰: yeah, I have two Phantom Ensamble remixes. Get over it. Empty .sm file, higher priority than Machine Ensemble. Hizuru - 妖々夢 ~ Snow or Cherry Petal - Cradle 東方幻樂祀典- Disc2 - Club Remixes Side: Greatest remix of this song known to man. Empty .sm file. I'm contemplating trashing it due to my inability to focus on making a 10 minute long simfile and the fact that I refuse to cut other people's work. But I might try anyway. Medium-low priority. Masayoshi Minoshima - 明治十七年の上海アリス - 禅-ZEN-: One of my favorite remixes of this song, although I haven't had the chance to hear many others. Finishing standard, although it's not really complete yet. Starting heavy. 柳英一郎 - Weekend Clock ~週末に鳴る終末の時計~ - 東方小曲集 -唯我独尊-: YES. This song is freaking awesome. Very high on my priority list, currently an empty .sm file. みずきともえ - 妖々跋扈 〜 Who done it? - Strawberry_Cranberry: I like this song, and I might finish it, but right now it's a nearly, although not completely, empty .sm file. There you have it folks, at least wait for me to finish the three that are almost done that I have in production before releasing it please. When I get time I'll also upload my completed sim (Border of Life). For the background transitions in Border of Life to work, though, you need to use StepMania 4.0 (I was beta or alpha or whatever testing it and forgot to think of backwards compatibility <_< ) so I hope you aren't too angry at me. EDIT: Some of the Japanese characters got skewered. Don't worry about it. If you have a Japanese theme pack for StepMania, it will make things a little easier because you kinda can't see the fonts at all properly in the default theme. I recommend CyberiaStyle because it's just plain awesome. The animations are smooth and fluid, and it has a style of it's own. It looks like it took as much work to make as Techno Fiend did, barely any of the animations are reminiscent of the original theme. tl;dr, I'm working on a lot of new crap and CyberiaStyle is badass. Re: Touhou Project
I'd like to know too....
But right now I have to figure out where I can get a new monitor for my computer because I BROKE MINE and now I have to use my dad's. DAMN. I need a new hard drive too. My computer is an old run-down piece of crap. <_< (yet, it still performs better than all of my dad's machines...) I will have a lot less time to work on simfiles because now I have to share a computer with 5 people. :V EDIT: Adding to my list: Sonic Revolution - Heaven'sGate - Repository ~夢葬回帰 Sound Online - Necro Fantasia - Blaze EDIT: One more, I missed this in my last go-round: SYNC.ART'S - 遥かなる時の幻想曲 - 七星再臨 Last edited by sonicbhoc; 10-7-2006 at 07:29 AM.. |

Re: Touhou Project
Yeah, a lot of released stuff is in the pack.....I have like 3 or so unreleased files not counting mine.
Also, I won't be working on this too much till fall break in a couple weeks. Once that comes around I should end up finishing 3 files and translating an h-doujin. btw sonicbhoc, finish your stuff XD and try to make your heavy steps "hard" even if they end up coming out as kb steps........also, I might tag on some kb steps to the files you submit if I like the song >_> |

it'll be near impossible for me to do anything until the weekends, and hopefully by then my dad will have gotten me a new monitor. Because getting TV-Out working is now impossible since I ruined my bootloader being an idiot and over-reacting (if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Or you'll end up breaking it like me). |
