I expect to see no more posts requesting music we don't have permission to use now. (This is mainly regarding all the posts I see you making asking for some DragonForce song to be put in the game.)

Edit: I should also mention that this isn't the place to request for songs to be stepped. If you find a song that you really want to see in the game and FFR has permission for it, contact a simfile artist and see if they're interested in stepping it. Otherwise you'll have to try to step it yourself.

You need to post in a pre-existing thread at least once before being able to make a thread yourself. You should be able to make one now.

Hmm... A lot of the OP is outdated. I may touch up on a few things.

Edit: I suppose it's not all that bad. It was mainly subscriber stuff, so I removed any outdated info and put in "Veteran" where necessary. Also put a link to the Ingame Song Information thread for a list of secret/purchased songs. Updated some other things as I went along so it's generally a bit better now. I'll just update things as they are pointed out now if I have the time.

I log in, but when I go to FFR the game, it says I'm 'Anonymous'. Can someone please tell me if I'm doing something wrong? :/

This is what is known as a "frame rate drop." (And if you're complaining about the beginning of Im Sick of Uprock, don't worry, it does that to everyone.) Yes, it kills your accuracy, but there are a few steps you can take to try to reduce the chance of it happening.

First and foremost, there have been major changes to the Adobe Flash Player versions since FFR was originally coded, which might cause some compatibility issues. "Downgrading" to version 8 or 9 might be useful.

Another option is to download the standalone player. There are a number of hurdles to go through to get your scores to record, but if done right it lets you play without a browser window open, which helps some people.

Finally, there's the beta version of FFR developed by Velocity and accessible through "FFR The Beta" underneath the link to the main game. Originally used mainly for showing replays, it now supports regular gameplay, and many of the new features introduced there have been taken over to the old "Legacy" engine.

Wow...the beta plays better than the original in my honest opinion. I don't have any problems at all, smooth as butter. Thank you very much, I guess the new flash could have been messing with the old FFR, as I don't ever remember having a problem before. It's much easier to play with a smooth arrow flow than a horrible choppy one. ^__^
