why would anyone want to meet someone based on their internet personality when in reality people prove to be completely different

i actually act pretty much the same one-on-one with people on aim as i do in real life

and i act pretty much the same on the forums as i do at parties, i speak in lowercase and everything

but i would imagine you can get loose ideas of most people from the internet, from my extensive internet meetup history i can say that 1/1 times i've done it they've proven to be almost exactly what i was expecting
