Re: FFR Suggestions
Fantastic news! That's super exciting, thank you so much! 30-40% definitely tailors to me, but what are the chances of an x% mini entry field kind of thing? I'd imagine it would be kind of difficult, but I do know of SM players using as low as 5% and sometimes I practice much faster speed mods with as high as 60% mini. I'm perfectly happy with any middle ground mod but it would add a lot to the engine to have it be custom

Re: FFR Suggestions
this has probably been suggested before but a distant mod like in sm would be really cool if it was doable

Re: FFR Suggestions
The R^3 engine is not set up to handle perspective. An API for Flash exists called Stage 3D, but Velocity says it would require a complete rewrite of the gameplay code. The closest option available now would be to scale arrows over time, similar to the Legacy/Velocity mini mods.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I was wondering if it would be possible to show the AAA Equivalency on the Level Ranks or on the Results screen (after playing a file)? I know we can see this in our Top 50, but is there another way to see this for non-Top 50?

Re: FFR Suggestions
When you try to delete comments in a replay it doesn't work. #super old issue weee
I would also love to see new emoticons for forums and comments if that can be a thing somehow eventually. I feel like it's a little thing that could make a difference.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I have no idea whether this has been suggested before because i don't feel like scrolling through 117 pages of text, but would a separate database for user made files be possible? You could upload your files and give them a difficulty and other users would be able to play them and compare scores. There would be a different section for unofficial files on replays, leaderboards etc. I feel like this would open up a whole new aspect to playing FFR and would make the game far more interesting.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Funny thing about that.
Once upon a time there used to be a feature exactly like what you described. The simfile database and all its glory. Unfortunately, it was taken down due to, from my understanding, legal reasons. A mod or game manager might be able to give more info on that though, dohoho. |

R^3 Engine: Perspectives. (R^4 Engine?) Custom settings for arrow colors. Default Stepmania speedmod thingy, for gits and shiggles.
General Gameplay: Have raw scoring, but also keep track of FC's separately (Mainly because of the token associated with FC'ing 99.9% of songs) Profile: Name change option. Ability to move profile elements to different places. Ability to view others' Tier Point stats. Last edited by Xtreme2252; 01-21-2016 at 10:49 PM.. |

Re: FFR Suggestions
Not sure what thoughts are from staff on other topics so I'll leave those to them, but changing username has been something that isn't really considered much of an option due to the number of instances across the site where a username is referenced to link your account with your stats/info/etc.
It could all be restructured to not be linked via username I would imagine, making it change-able, but the amount of work involved would be monumental.

Re: FFR Suggestions
you can view ffr simfiles perfected by going to your public or token level ranks, find the song you like and toggle song preview. It will give the option to view with your settings or default settings:

With the new community batch review stuff getting kickstarted, this would actually help reviewers a lot. Would be a non score-recording mode, of course.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I was thinking something like a 'repeat' or 'loop' option for when practicing or playing on rates or for whatever reason. You can select a number for the number of loops you want and as soon as the song or isolated section is finished, it just instantly repeats and you don't see any results yet. Results could be shown like when you play a queue.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I think FFR needs to do something to bring back multiplayer, like maybe double credits when playing in MP or something.
Maybe a new MP level system that gives EXP for Wins/Losses as a factor of song length, With profile badges for reaching levels 5, 10, 20 etc.? I saw badges for the Official Tournament results, I can't imagine the badges would be hard to do. Implementing a new MP rating system would probably be the hard part. I personally don't MP much because of Lag, but I think it's crucial to incentivize players to interact to continue to keep players engaged with the game. The change also would have to be visible to players who do not frequent the forums, so that the players who normally don't visit the forums would be much more likely to see and participate in it. |

Re: FFR Suggestions
lmao I just remembered there's an achievement token for getting MP level 10. Is that even attainable anymore?

Re: FFR Suggestions
Hello I have an issue with some songs being removed. the songs that require a fixed amount of credits need to be set up differently for example.. pants which require 50,000 credits to play and final fantasy last battle festival which require 70,000. it a huge problem for me because I played these songs a lot and yes I had over 80k credits before but thanks to you guys restocking store I wanted to try new songs. I spent all my credits and now lost many good songs. its a messed up system and a big turn off from the game itself because we suppose to earn credits to new songs instead its a double edge sword. playing songs and getting 40 credits max is a drag. I've earned the songs i unlocked how are you just gonna take it away??
