Re: DDReam Studio - a revolutionary way to sync/step simfiles
Version 2 beta 5 bug: If you play, hit freezes, stop playing and move the targets (via scrollwheel or arrow keys) the columns that were holding a freeze continue to pulsate until they hit an arrow regularly or end a hold.
These phantom holders trigger mines and leave an 'N.G.' as soon as they pass over a regular note or an O.K. if they finish a hold.

I think I might give this a try again. I downloaded it, but I don't know if I will install it or not yet.

Re: DDReam Studio - a revolutionary way to sync/step simfiles
wow, there were more bugs than I thought. I've been busy lately, so I havent been developing... There's a new multiple-BPM smoothing algorithm I'm working on adding too. Hopefully next time I update, a few of those bugs will be fixed. thanks for the bug reports.

Re: DDReam Studio - a revolutionary way to sync/step simfiles
I found an :error:
DDReam Studio barfs up "I sense an error reading the #NOTES information. I will try to ignore it." and doesn't load any information at all (no bpms, charts, the song file to use, etc) if it sees something like this in the .sm: Code:
... //---------------dance-single - irionman---------------- #NOTES: dance-single: irionman: Edit: 13: -1.000,-1.000,-1.000,-1.000,-1.000: ; //---------------dance-single - Expert---------------- #NOTES: dance-single: Expert: Challenge: 13: 1.000,0.668,1.000,0.000,1.000: // measure 1 1001 1001 1001 1001 , // measure 2 ...

Re: DDReam Studio - a revolutionary way to sync/step simfiles
If you delete the whole "irionman" block of code, will it work?

Re: DDReam Studio - a revolutionary way to sync/step simfiles
I remember reading somewhere that the newer versions of DDREAM save as a different file type, or something to that extent. I have been hesitant to download the newer versions of the editor due to this. If I download the new version of DDREAM, would I still be able to use/open/edit my previous files made in the older version of DDREAM?
Clarification on this would be greatly helpful.

Re: DDReam Studio - a revolutionary way to sync/step simfiles
Yes, the current BETA is compatible with all ddreams down to something like ~version 0.6. You might have a problem if you work with the current version, as well as ~0.6 or so, but who wants to use ~0.6??
You can see for yourself if your files work --- just open a file in the latest beta (EDIT: Try opening a DS file AND an SM file to be sure), and if it loads your notes/arrows, it works. Otherwise, DO NOT save, and let me know if you need help upgrading to the latest version.

Re: DDReam Studio - a revolutionary way to sync/step simfiles
found another ddream bug:
if the sm includes a chart header like this, it will fail to load correctly (no charts/information placed in memory): Quote:
Source of bug: The early : causes the parser to get confused, thinking it needs to stop there, but in fact it should only look for the last : in the line. EDIT: OH apparently this is a stepmania bug too haha. it lets you put : in the field but doesn't work right reading it in?

It is neither of them. I think that is called a Lift Foot or something. I just don't remember the name right now.

Re: DDReam Studio - a revolutionary way to sync/step simfiles
basically they're judged by how close to them you lift your foot (or key or whatever be the case)
as you can imagine they're not used too often lol

Re: DDReam Studio - a revolutionary way to sync/step simfiles
Can you add custom keymaps to DDream for testing simfiles instead of having to use the Dpad?

Re: DDReam Studio - a revolutionary way to sync/step simfiles
Just download AutoHotKeys and set up a macro to make (insert your spread setup here) send left, down, up and right keytaps.
Script would look something like this: q::Left w::Down o::Up p::Right `::Suspend

Re: DDReam Studio - a revolutionary way to sync/step simfiles
so I finally found some time to develop...
I've noted all the bugs everyone has found, thanks for finding them. For now, here are the updates: + Multiple BPM Smoothing (via Grow "G"). Thanks to Derek Dohler. + Creating pauses no longer requires a hard selection - simply select beats and go. + same with setting song preview + Revised popup messages + Also, thanks to john_reactor for translating the basic tutorial movie into Polish.
