Re: New Veteran Status - Opinions?
Forum posts definitely shouldn't count towards vet status. Not many people like posting on forums and I personally don't consider them a part of the game.
I remember seeing a comment that "People could just whore 3Bil points in a couple days.". I loled because, don't you think if they are capable of doing that they deserve vet status anyway? |

Re: New Veteran Status - Opinions?
Considering that the balance of features being awarded to veterans was previously being awarded to "Anybody that could cough up a couple bucks a month" I'm not really sure the bar should be that high, or complicated.

Re: New Veteran Status - Opinions?
The bar's lower than in the suggestion you previously made; and it uses already defined variables, so it should be simple to implement. I think my presentation made it harder to understand. If there's complexity, it's in balancing all the facets; though I think what I outlined works well enough.
Anyway, I'm done here. |

Re: New Veteran Status - Opinions?
I thought Veteran status would be for people who've been here a long, long time.

Re: New Veteran Status - Opinions?
It is, amongst other things. But I personally don't think three years is long enough to be considered a veteran. I've seen people who have join dates as early as 2002. It should be pushed to five years... four at the least.

Re: New Veteran Status - Opinions?
idk the specifics but I thought the forums were redone (switched from phpbb to vBulletin, I think?) in 03, so the earliest join date you could have had without modifying the date manually is like July '03.

Re: New Veteran Status - Opinions?
I assume when they were switched, they transferred over the old profiles with the join date intact.

Re: New Veteran Status - Opinions?
I havn't read the whole thread so sorry if this has been posted already; i'm wondering how FFR is going to get some revenue now, now that subscriber funds are virtually going to be non existent?
