![]() Whoa... Mortal Kombat Metal Menu got in queue after all? I thought it was rejected since I didn't get an update after I sent my last fix. :P Is that a false hope that I see it in the queue of the New Artists batch?

![]() Okay, jx:
- added 2 sec silence - resynced (due to silence) - fixed pr at one part - removed 3-4 ghost notes sent, should be all good now. |

![]() Can I send a file fix for a conditionally queued file in at any time? Or do I have to wait until the next batch?

![]() If your file is in conditional queue, you look at the conditional notes and then you can fix up your file and send it as a fix. I've done it multiple times (/mu/tant corecore was one example)

![]() Thanks, bro. :']
The file had PR issues, so I would figure someone has to look over it before it moves out of conditional queue. |

![]() Also, I have no idea how to add the two second silence at the beginning of the file and I think my file needs it. Halp anyone?

I just use Audacity and go to generate>silence>2.00 and that adds the silence in for me. Just make sure you have the start of the song selected and to re-sync the file, because the silence will probably affect the offset.

![]() Okay, easy enough. I will need to send the file again though. I'm still unclear on what happens to conditionally queued files - am I waiting on word from anyone if the changes I've made are acceptable?

![]() Wanted to talk about this and didn't know where else, so I figure this thread is as good as ever since theory is discussed a lot here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dURfqCAe3ds Almost everyone would say this is a bad chart. I think this is actually really good, for two reasons: - Clearly defined stages. In other words, it has a lot of memorable PARTS. You can talk about "messing up on the slow part." It's not just one continuous thing like most of Quasar. - The patterns vary a lot. This is where I severely break from most of the modern charters. Songs with unexpected patterns stay interesting to play. If the patterns are mostly the same, all you need to know is how you or someone else does on the first 10 seconds and you can extrapolate the rest of the song. Files to me were most interesting when they were expected to be like levels. DDR and PIU both promoted this kind of file making, but it died out with the idea of technical correctness. (I don't think this has anything to do with the decline of Stepmania though. That's probably just due to the decline of arcades in general, as well as the decline of standalone forum communities in favor of social networking websites or mass aggregator websites like 4chan/reddit/tumblr.) |

![]() That was a cool file. I think the problem isn't so much with files like that vs technical files of today but more so files with tons of ghost notes vs files of today.
