blast it all to heck... someone help me out... does the acct have to be a certain age?

It's been covered on the last few pages of the thread, probably more than once. You have to score enough total points to earn a rank of 150000 or better. Then whenever they do the ranking update, you should get a ranking and the stats sig should start working.

(Considering how much this gets asked, I really think this info needs to be edited into the first post. It should explain when you can use it in addition to how.)

From other's signatures here you can easily determine whether or not you will be sig-worthy when the next update rolls around. At the time of this post rank number 12,000 or so had 65,000,000 points. About. I would assume 10,000,000 would be more than enough if this is the case.

Yes, if you can find some lower ranked sigs to look at that gives you an idea. I have trouble finding them when I look though. Most of the people seem to be pretty far up there. But if most people have been playing and earning points since the last update, whenever that was (not since I started, obviously), that basically shifts the whole list upward in terms of points even if people don't change their rank within the list. So the minimum required to get a rank could be higher than the current scores would suggest. I don't know for sure. That's why I'm hanging out waiting for the update. I think I should have enough points for the sig, but until the rank update is done, I can't be completely certain.

P.S. -- I'm up to about 58 million points at the moment.

Yeah, I think earlier in this thread someone said that lightdarkness was doing the rank updates. I'm new though, so I don't really know who does exactly what around here. If SynthLight's has too much to work on though, it makes sense that he'd has on some of the work to other people who are helping him out.

I see that you got it working somewhere else. Just paste that code that worked into your signature box with the IMG tags and it should be fine.

My only advice would be to make your own background for the siggy and upload it somewhere. You can use the albums here on FFR or some upload place like Image Shack. It has to be a .PNG.

470 x 62 is the image size. The lines aren't necessary but I like to have them anyway.

Go to your profile on the forums. That's where you change your sig for the boards. It's very confusing...

If you can't find your profile, this should work.

Is it giving you any error messages? Check the top of the screen after you submit the changes to your profile to see if it did. It is likely that it exceeds the character limit of however many it is.

did you go to your profile or did you use the "My Account" link on the left?

You must use the profile for your sig to show.

Your coding is good, so the only other thing it could be is that your signature isn't turned on when you post. I believe there's an option in your profile to make your signature always on.

Also, thanks a lot for voting for me.
