Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
I'm bad at this game, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
I didn't notice a difference between my FP7 and the two times I played on a FPS besides the look of the controller. I also got the omron(I think?) switches and all the other crap that sows said was like the arcade, so that may be a factor.

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Beside price factor the FPS has an option where you can adjust the turntable distance between KOC distance and ASC distance which is rather useful for beatmania. Additionally the new FP7s now come with the turntable grip which is good for the friction on your fingers. Also the FPS's start button is a bit too close for the keys kind of adding a more restrictive style of play.

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Finally got around to going to Round 1 last weekend to play Pendual. I'm not sure what the three islands are supposed to do, but I always pick the one that has a rainbow S over it in the hopes that it means something good haha. I'm also a little disappointed that they changed the end-game stuff back to the Tricoro engine where you just mash a button to attack random enemies I really enjoyed the RPG game from Spada since it was a lot more involved and interesting that just "press a key to win".

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
The rainbow S is the super rare enemy if I'm not wrong, if you beat it you'll get the classic revived song depending on the time phase you're on.
You beat the present boss and you'll get Guilty by DJ SETUP, you beat the future boss you'll get Chain of pain by kors k and Nekomata Master+ |

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Cut penny-sized cardboard circles and stick them under your keys. This is a potential solution if your keys become sticky over time, though the keys will feel different - more sensitive, less depression required. Depends on cardboard thickness. US koc fares better than J koc for keys becoming less frequently sticky/stuck however. On the other hand, if you play iidx on a computer, I've heard that the US koc has more latency issues with key responsiveness. Pros and cons to both controllers I suppose.
