Rubix never legitimatley had 100%. For a while he had all rank 1's, the AAA bar was coded to have whoever had rank 1 on a song counted as an AAA, even if it wasn't.

Besides, nobody will ever AAA CP or RATO.

As if Oni wasn't bad enough, I'll just say I don't support this idea, I'm sorry guys. Manti made the point a couple of pages back that I really would've posted sooner, but there just seems to be an overwhelming bandwagon effect for this token. That point was that the songs aren't getting easier...only the people are getting better. All you're doing is making it continually harder for those who don't already have tokens, not "setting a standard back to normal". I'm still reluctant to post because I know right away people are going to argue with overstated reasons already beat to death. The point is wanting a "new elite token" has no other justification alone other than you want another annoyingly hard to get token and feel good about yourself until it becomes too common for you. Having that token or not, you still have your skill, you still have one of the only AAAs on that song, and subsequent, more difficult songs that will be released. Why isn't that enough for you?

Maybe before we think about something like this, get more realistic tokens for the rest of the 99.90% of the active community. The rest of you who can achieve this token/will achieve this token do not represent the entire community, although due to your constant presence here, it may seem that way.

I support it and I can barely AAA Very Difficult songs. Seriously, there needs to be a new standard for the "Elite" Status. People are getting better faster and with the addition of new features to FFR it is making songs easier. Songs such as Southern Cross for me used to be difficult as **** because I couldnt read the arrows and patterns but 3 months passed and it seems easy now. You can't just assume that people want a new token to show off. If [Edit] were to be released and someone obtained it then what would be the first thing s/he would do? Make a thread in the Brag Board saying they unlocked it. It isnt a matter of Bragging Rights but rather to show who among the users is above even the level of [Oni]. [Edit] will be harder to unlock and in turn will weed out those people who cheat their scores. We all know who the Elitists are and If Joe Schmoe comes along on his 3rd day of playing and says, "Hey, I unlocked [Edit]. It was retardedly easy." he would immediately be checked out.

Nanairotoken was actually really easy for me, got it even before I SDG'd Nanairo. I'm not good at mines in SM either... I really just whored a bunch for the token. I honestly think that unless you have awesome PA or mine-reading ability this token just requires some time to be put into it (to get used to what you have to hit). Not difficult as much as time consuming IMO.

Mina's right though, AAA% is not a good idea for an elitist token. If it's too easy players like me would unlock it and if it's too hard even an elite player would have to spend tons of time playing easy songs (and FMOs, probably) to make sure they AAA'd everything. That's not fun and I'm betting a lot of the really good players won't bother.


PS: I'll never even get [Oni] but [Edit] is a really cool idea; FFR ought to have an *actual* elite token and [Oni] clearly doesn't fill that void.

Actually if we're thinking about [Edit] we should get more novelty tokens along the lines of nanairo. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe something like 'miss all jumps' or 'miss all non-jumps'

edit: in a 12thy song, hit only purple notes. in a 24thy song, hit only pink and purple / all but red / all but blue. in an 8thy/16thy song, hit all but red. in omw v2, ?_?

oh yeah and there needs to be a token that's 'hit only right notes in palindrome' for kicks. but I'm not sure if that would produce a consistent max combo depending on how you split jumps? nah it would probably be fine
