What laptop did you use during the xp-vista era?
So... I think it's time that I stop using a Windows 8.1 laptop for games for now. (There is more to the story on why I'm using this garbage, but that'll be explained some other time.) I'm wanting to buy a laptop to play some older games, and what better way than to use the original hardware for that time!
I used to have a Windows XP Compaq, but that thing was trashed LONG ago. So what laptops did you guys use during the XP era for FFR, or other games if you hadn't discovered it yet? |

Re: What laptop did you use during the xp-vista era?
Early in the Vista era I was using the HP Pavilion dv2500se. Performance wise it ran FFR and Stepmania 3.9 fine but I wouldn't trust it to run any of the more demanding games from that time. Also the built-in keyboard was pretty mid. Near the end of its life the latches holding in the battery also started to give out.
I didn't have this laptop, but the Dell Inspiron 6400 was really popular at the time for FFR/Stepmania. Was pretty affordable while still having a good keyboard for laptop standards. Last edited by tosh; 05-22-2024 at 01:47 PM.. |
