Re: TWG 203 Werewolves in Avalon POSTGAME THREAD
I didn't follow this game but I think votes should be locked in MYLO/LYLO by default. It makes it more fair to the wolf team overall. Without vote locks, you basically have to set up a wolf rush to win, which is not really a fair policy for wolves. You have to get everybody online at the same time, schedule a specific moment to place votes, and pray to God none of the towns unvote. It's kind of a silly requirement to have, especially given that a single unvote or bad timing can singlehandedly expose the whole wolf team--- which is not a good way to incentivize the wolves to play well enough to get to MYLO/LYLO in the first place.
In a similar vein, vote-baiting is a horrible meta to establish and it hurts the overall quality of play in my opinion. IIRC other major sites tend to have vote-locking rules as well for these reasons. |

Neutral on the deathpost thing---- there's no reason not to have it after a lynch, but it might also lead to salty players posting game-sensitive information while in the heat of the moment.
Nightkill deathposts make sense because you are suddenly removed from the game and have a time to post something funny; lynch deathposts make a little less sense because you just had hours of posting and could have planned to say whatever you wanted to say before you died. It doesn't really matter either way; it's harmless as long as there are harsh penalties for breaking the rules for abusing it to give relevant game info. |

Re: TWG 203 Werewolves in Avalon POSTGAME THREAD
agree with mylo/lylo vote locking
disagree with allowing deathposts for lynched players for basically the same reason DBP gave — nightkilled players are chosen semi-arbitrarily and can't predict their sudden removal from game. lynched players are removed after having all day phase to post whatever they want, watch pressure build, and say what they need to say. a deathpost is basically a farewell/signoff/final salute to the game, which makes sense for the former category but not for the latter

I personally think more death posts would make TWG a little bit more fun around here |

If we keep the deathpost rule as it is, what is a good way to punish violators of the rule? It has been a problem for literally a decade.

It's kind of like the game turns into that playground game where you have your palms out and try to slap the other person's hands before they take them back, but like 100x worse ------- Also I meant to say this before, but nothing at the moment prevents a salty player from posting anything anyways I do think it should be a requirement for a player who is killed during the day to have to wait for, at minimum, the host to flip them if flips are on

Re: TWG 203 Werewolves in Avalon POSTGAME THREAD
I don't agree that lynched players are more likely to ragepost game info
my brain just doesn't compute why they should get a deathpost when they've just finished out a full day like everyone else but I think I would be on board if their deathpost came at some point during the next day phase (unless nighttalk is on), to match the timing of the nightkill deathpost. I don't think anyone should be allowed to post at night unless nighttalk is on
