Re: Soundodger - new rhythm game
I bought the + version. Having a blast so far.
The auto-gen sucks though. Is there anywhere I can download custom maps? |

Re: Soundodger - new rhythm game
Okay after messing around with it a bit more the auto-gen isn't all that bad you just have to pick good music. If anyone has the Camo & Crooked Zeitgeist album, pretty much every song on there was pretty cool.
Once I figure out the editor I'll post a map for Turn Back the Time from said album. Question: where the hell is zen mode in the + version? lol |

Re: Soundodger - new rhythm game
In the main game and user levels, you must first finish a level to unlock its zen mode. It'll appear next to the level on the Song Selection screen.
For Auto-Gen songs, hold Z when the song starts to play in zen mode (you'll see "zen mode" listed with the song details in the bottom left when the song starts). If you missed it, you can always hold Z, then press R to restart. |

I actually intend on making a map for Stories Can Wait by Virtual Riot (thanks for bringing that song to light, Razor <3). I have so many visual ideas to bring to it, and I've actually got a pretty good grasp on how to use the editor already. |

Re: Soundodger - new rhythm game
The cool thing about this game is that charts that are typically good for more advanced rythm game stuff (i.e. Sharpnel, Dragonforce) kind of suck for this kind of things. Songs with a lot of variety and a lot of dynamic become really interesting. I'm really looking forward to playing around with the editor when I have some time this weekend. I think it'll be fun to share some maps as well

Re: Soundodger - new rhythm game
Yeah, I'm down for sharing maps. It's pretty easy to do given that it outputs to a XML file -- all you'd need is to package the mp3 and xml, and then put said mp3/xml in the soundodger folder.

Re: Soundodger - new rhythm game
People need to play this game.
Just got an undeserving 100. The hitbox is so hilarious when it comes to just swiftly moving through an onslaught of bullets, lol.

...lost the heart at the very ending.
EDIT: Also, I've been mapping this song since yesterday, only about 50 seconds in so far. https://soundcloud.com/glue70/casin

Re: Soundodger - new rhythm game
erryone talked mad lip on making files for this, anyone actually get one made? I've picked it up recently and was in the process of making a file, was curious if anyone had any to share. I didn't really find much out there by other people to use either, so if anyone has anything to share I'm open to those...
(and if it breaks forum rules to post dl links to them send me a pm and we'll work out getting the link from somewhere other than right here) [[reposting for bump cause I'm stupid and posted at like 330am server time last time]]
