When undecided, i use probuilds.net (Be aware, their all different)
It shows pro players playing solo Q, the builds they were using in a game, Also what they bought every time they backed. It can give you a good idea for what to run and when.

P.S. Failed my Gold5 to Gold4 promo for the 7th time last night in 6 days... Im getting really fucking mad at this game.

your build should not go past boots/sightstone, maybe a locket or a philo

imo laning phase is a lot less based on assists and kills when you have a philo. Gives you decent harass recovery if you fuck a trade

then again if you're aggressive enough you don't need no philo

yes but you really should be going aggressive as a support to force profitable trades

passive supports like soraka or sonas who sit in bush and spam heal are the worst

which is why you see most pros rush pure HP items like ruby crystal, sightstone for an all-in instead of getting rejuv bead or faerie charm

Funny you mention that, 2 days ago I had an Annie support on the other team burn her first stun on creeps (trying to push I think, maybe she forgot she charged it in the fountain?)
We double killed them at level 2 and their ADC started crying in all chat

annie support is ridiculous i pick it up with any adc that has quick burst/harass (graves, cait, varus, jinx)

the aa range is fuckin ridiculous good

edit- though she is one of the few champs that almost requires a faerie charm buy if u want to stay any longer than 3-4 minutes in lane which can lead to a potential 0 vision gank from river if the other team buys 2 pinks or out plays ur ward
