Having never played League, I am interested if anyone could estimate where Diamond V/Diamond I/etc. would likely stand in correlation to Divisions on FFR.

it seems as if every week someone on my university's league facebook page posts a promotion to diamond. now if this time, effort and motivation were spent towards skill development on ffr, what skill bracket might one project they fall into?

Diamond is roughly top 1% of the playerbase for LoL (probably more now with the tiers).

Top 1% of the ffr users would probably be D6+

just like ffr , time spent on a game doesn't relate to skill necessarily

i see tons of people with like 1,000 ranked matches under their belt while being in bronze

and then some people are diamond 1 within like 200 games (non-smurf)

same case with ffr, some people have like 100,000 games played but are still in like d5, some have like 10,000 games but are d7 etc

I was never in bronze myself but how can people have 1000+ games and still be in bronze? I had some hard times here and there getting from silver to gold but I still got out.

honestly if I kept going currently I could probably reach platinum and it would easily still be less than 1k

end of season pretty much so i do not care and i stopped at gold 4

D7 = Challenger
high D6 = Diamond
low D6 = Platinum

everything else is shit

So I've decided that I'm not getting Gold this season
I literally cannot enjoy solo ranked, its so damn boring
And the people who are similarly skilled to me that I used to duo with are all doing important things like college

If you get Catalyst you should try to finish your RoA as soon as possible, it builds into nothing else on SR now that Banshee's is built from a Cowl. As a side note Banshee's is also not really good early on Anivia anymore like it used to be as it no longer gives mana and Athene's is a superior MR item.
Liandry's is not that efficient early on against squishy teams like the one you were facing, especially with Cho having no stacks because he was always dead. Should have left it as a Haunting Guise until RoA was done. Of course Liandry's is really good on Anivia and is probably the best second item but completing your mana item(s) is even better.
Upgrading your two mana charms into Chalice and possibly Athenes vs a double AP comp would have make sense too (I assume you were laning against Ziggs or Syndra but who fucking knows at this level) Chalice is really cheap if you already have the Faerie Charms.
I can't criticize how you played because you obviously did well and didn't die much but the item build is a little wonky. Honestly though it seems you did fine I'm just being an itembuild Nazi
