KBO: Looking for programmer to pick up
CosmoVibe here. I am currently looking for a programmer to pick up a project that is currently underway, as the previous programmer cannot make time anymore.
The project is known as KeyBeat Online, located at http://www.keybeatonline.com/. It is an online free-to-play (and nonprofit) Flash rhythm game, just like FFR. We are looking for a programmer who is fluent with AS3 and object-oriented programming. There aren't any hard deadlines, but there should be significant progress over time. Anyone who is interested or has questions can reply here or email me at bufangliang@gmail.com. EDIT: We have found our programmer. Thanks to all of the responses! Fluent in object-oriented programming methodology. Currently picking up ActionScript and MXML. If you use any .fla files though I won't be able to help with that because as far as I know, you need the commercial Adobe CS to work with them, which I don't have.
If it's strictly .as and/or .mxml files though, doable. If someone else has more experience with ActionScript or wants to do this more, though, go ahead and take up the offer from them. I'm also kind of busy on a few side projects of my own. |

They've had the same engine since they started.
New programmer = new engine |

Re: KBO: Looking for programmer to pick up
I've been needing a non-school project to pick up to put on a resume/portfolio, especially a project that I can get server-side programming experience in.
I can't say I'm a big fan of flash, but I have used C++ for about 8 years, and I've used Java and Javascript for about 2 years each.

Re: KBO: Looking for programmer to pick up
I know a decent amount of Java so I have decent understanding of OOP and I've played around with as2 a bit. I don't have the confidence to undertake a project like the one described by myself though, since I don't know as3 all to well and I'm still a very novice programmer. But if anyone does want to take this project on, I'd be willing to provide assistence to said person on the project.
