I tried Lolo and after 10hours I was only at 500mil and my hands were like "nope". ..and +1 for top day scores being nearly all achieved with vROFL. Re: Vertex Beta vRofl thread - post here if you qualify
Lolo isn't even that stamina draining compared to basically any rate challenge I've done on stepmania. Lolo I can blast through all the time, and in my intense stepmania sessions where I got my best rate scores it only took around a few minutes in between files to recover enough to do really stamina draining stuff again. Lolo is nothing compared to those files I played.
Let's say we have this: Each run on average for Lolo. 809,450 10 goods clean 42 seconds 86,400 seconds in 24 hours = 2057 straight gameplays if each one, averaging 42 seconds each (since it does take a few seconds for your score to record) You'd have 1,748,412,000 grandtotal for the full amount of time, and you can sacrifice 2 billion for whatever breaks are necessary. Also, +1 support for giving Hakulyte vrofl |

Okay Dossar but go do that for a day straight. You're glossing over the fact that the state of your stamina and "regen" is only good to go for a few hours before you start descending into holy****zone. If you disagree with me, then try it. I guarantee you'll find the limits of your stamina, and they'll be well before 15 hours.

Honestly, I think you're basing this just off of you since you said you got massive hand damage, and according to you, I should have massive hand damage right now but I don't. Here's another breakdown: -42 gameplays, rounded down from 42.8 (each 42 seconds) -30 minutes -809450 each run -33,996,900 in those 30 minutes 1.5 billion/33,996,900 = around 44 half-hours, meaning around 22 hours can get you to the requirement. That leaves around an hour and a half for any breaks necessary in between. That could mean 18 five minute breaks or whatever else. I would succeed if I tried this, but I'd need the full time frame and a decent connection that doesn't derp. And if that's not enough, I even received this IM: Stian Kristensen 10:06 am (10:06:54 AM): i don't understand how you can be off stepmania and come back weeks later then continue where you left in skill, i just don't understand it Rubix, I just find it funny how you have been able to blast through anchoring patterns but then somehow kill your hands doing it haha.

If I get vROFL, I'll go use vROFL to re-unlock vROFL so I can play vROFL after I play vROFL.

But your logic is basically "Yeah man I ran a reasonably-paced 1-minute lap and it was fine, just took a small breather and I could do another 1 minute lap when I caught my breath. Clearly, this means I can run 1-minute laps all day." It's simply not a realistic assessment. If you disagree with me, prove me wrong. But I don't think you're being realistic, here. Re: Vertex Beta vRofl thread - post here if you qualify
Still, trying to compare Lolo to those files which I did for HOURS isn't comparable haha.
I think that discussion can end here though, you do have a point with that 1-minute lap example which is why I made the Lolo scenario 10 goods clean each run since it could include AAA runs and worse runs. This is completely realistic to me since Lolo is a light file with no anchoring patterns, long jacks, or walls (which have been the most stamina draining patterns I've encountered) but may not be realistic to you - I'd have to try this out rather than go yakkity yak with you haha. |

Re: Vertex Beta vRofl thread - post here if you qualify
Dossar, you honestly don't get how much it will affect you to play for a full 24 hours. I know your stamina is really good, but it will not keep up with playing files with enough TPS to make it for the full day. It won't stay perfect throughout the whole day. To be honest you're being ignorant. This isn't even accounting for other things, like necessary breaks, eyes hurting/not focusing, etc.
Don't be all "well lol you don't know anything, you never play as much as I do." I played for 6 hours in the official competition for this. I left because I knew it was impossible to make it, knowing that is will only get worse. Plus I've played vibrating files for hours on end without breaks before. I'm not saying it's impossible. You just need to realize how difficult it would be, even for you, and prepare yourself knowing that. Also, +1 for Haku getting vrofl.

Re: Vertex Beta vRofl thread - post here if you qualify
Instead of debating about how Dossar could or could not keep up over time, you guys should try to figure out a way to "optimize stamina/playing" for long time period of time and when/how to take breaks and still being efficient in time or whatever concept you can come up with..
I mean, if Dossar can do it, he will do it. If he can't keep up after 10+ hours or if something happens like a plane crash in his house and he must stop playing well, it's life. |

Re: Vertex Beta vRofl thread - post here if you qualify
I'd actually love to see if Dossar could do it, since I consider him to be one of the more stamina-heavy players out there. But even at his level I can't fathom being able to play songs like that with the necessary PA or TPS to hit 1.5 billion. I've always been of the "challenge the impossible" type of mindset, but I feel like without vROFL to pointwhore from, this isn't a realistic goal.
