I have seen this countless times before.
AGE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SKILL OR BEING BETTER K. Its practice. Like a 5 year old practicing piano for a year could be the same as a 40 year old man practicing piano for a year. The 5 year old probably is more talented than most 5 year olds but you get the idea. They both can have the same skill or one can be better, its how you practice and progress. So don't ever give anyone that bullshit excuse again of being younger or older than someone. |

I don't give a care this is in general to everyone. Someone really young might be of a disadvantage because they are freaking young and still cant barely do anything.
Id say anyone from age 7+ can do this game and if they practice they can become very good. And I have had no musical experience except DDR which that only allowed me to see the arrows better. Musical experience could affect someone, but we are aiming at age here. |

Snapps, I am trying to follow but I don't think your theory holds up, partly because you keep making exceptions to the rule every time you respond. To elborate would require a long drawn out conversation and I just don't have the energy tonight.

I am 14 too.
But if you think about it, every theory has some exceptions. Give me a theory and I will give you an expection to it (don't give me some math equation I won't know those things.) |

Age doesn't mean much... well, as long as you're past a certain age, and below a certain age, it doesn't mean much... Some people improve faster then others, some people improve extreme slowly...
Just because you're 14 and everyone is better then you doesn't mean that everyone won't be better then you when you're 16 or something... sorry, but thats just the way it is XD

Hey, I'm 18 and I suck at this game. I win for being inbounds on your rules!

Snapps is basically just getting the idea that just because you're young, it doesn't limit to you as to what your ability is.
Infact, a good example is MegamanX from DDR. He's insanely good, and pretty young. Although, maturing and your mind developing is important. It really separates you from older folk. Why do you think Adults comprehend feelings much different than Teenagers?

I noticed a while back that a whole lot of good SM players were in the younger age group, ranging from 14-17. It's rare to see a person out of that range who is pretty good.
The only real way to test this would be to get like 10 people who are 30+ years old and get them started on SM.

As long as those rhythm games, age has almost nothing to do with the skill if you are over 13.
career matters a lot though. |

13-17 is when your mind and fingers/feet are primed for playing bemani games. You are old enough to have the focus and motor skills, but no too old to have lost both of those things. There are always exceptions and i did say "primed". What it usually comes down to is who has had more practice and put more effort into playing.

American Pie.
The phrase is meant to stand for "I am making irrelevant conversation in the midst of a meaningful discussion." Which was quite proper in this case. ~Squeek |
