Dungeon Fighter Online
http://dungeonfighter.nexon.net/
It's entering open beta on the 22nd. Basically, take Golden Axe and make it an MMO, and this is kind of how it'd turn out. 5 classes so far, and each one is very different from the last. I've made each of them up to level 5 just to get a general feel for them and stuck with the Priest because he uses a giant effin' wooden cross to bash things and that's just too badass for me to pass up. I believe you can still get early access beta keys from various game related websites (like 1up or Gamespot) and if they still have early access keys, the DFO website has a link to where to pick them up. It's from the same guys that did Maple Story, so it's actually extremely well put together and quite fun. I need people to play it with, so SIGN UP AND LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED. Last thing of note: It's going to be exactly like Maple Story in the sense that it will be entirely FREE-TO-PLAY. YAY! PEOPLE WHO PLAY: Laharl: Vaughn (Priest), Gutentag (Slayer), Rickroller (Fighter) Sir Psycho: OlGreg (Mage), Aglophobia (Slayer), Buttonmash (Fighter) MalReynolds: Reynolds (Priest) Gun92: Gun92 (Priest) SithCait22: PopeJohnPaul (Priest) bluguerilla: Pylos (Slayer) Laharl's Gameplay Tips: As the game suggests, it's a good idea to diversify your skill points before you hit level 18 just so that you can test out each move and decide which of them you like best in order to determine which subclass you want to go once you do finally hit level 18. Also, keep in mind that many subclasses require different armor than what you currently used to level up in. For example, the Asura subclass for Slayers gain "Wave Plate Mastery" which gives them extra bonuses for using Plate armor rather than simply keeping with Heavy Armor, but the Berserker subclass gets a mastery for Heavy Armor that gives even more extra bonuses than just using regular heavy armor already did for the class. Try to find info on what your subclass will use before leveling up so that you can keep any decent armor you find before you can use it right. Secondly, to gain bonus experience, stick to channels that deal with the dungeon zone you are currently questing in. The Beginner channel covers you until you enter Grand Flores, while there are 6 or so Grand Flores channels, and then about the same number for Sky Tower, and so on, so forth. Doing so helps the otherwise insanely long times it takes to gain levels after you hit level 15 or so.

Quick note:
The servers are down all day today because open beta starts tomorrow. So basically what I'm saying is that you can all sign in with your Maple Story accounts tomorrow and be like "sup guys" and deal with the thousands and thousands of bots spamming.

Re: Dungeon Fighter Online
Will play when I get home.
Does it support controllers? Would you reccomend it? And is it more Streets of Rage than Golden Axe (As Golden Axe was always too slow for my liking)?

Re: Dungeon Fighter Online
Besides it's minor glitches Nexon has done a great job with it so far.
Seems like a decent game.

I haven't had a chance to log in and play over the last few days because I've been doing a lot of with League of Legends as well. Seems like every PC game I'm into right now is in Beta. Kind of weird. I don't know if it supports controllers but the basic control scheme is pretty decent. You can do it entirely with the keyboard. The arrow keys move you around, z is your special attack button (depending on the direction you are holding or if you are holding one at all, it will trigger a different move once you get to higher levels), x is your basic attack, c is jump. A through H on the homerow line of your keyboard are where you can bind your extra abilities, but you only really need to use 2 or 3 of those as long as you pay attention to the special commands to trigger moves using Z.

Re: Dungeon Fighter Online
Played it for about 2 hours last night after trying to map the controls to my PS3 controller without any luck. It's fun, but the world is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Still, fun.

Re: Dungeon Fighter Online
The "world being small" bit is kind of nice, honestly. It's just one large interconnected town, and everything else is dungeons which seem to be randomly generated so you can go and curbstomp goblins and minotaurs.
What did you make and what did you name him/her? My priest (which is who I play most and is around level 11) is named Vaughn. Personally I think I should play my Gunner more simply because he is named ElWray. My Mage is named Faceroll, too. Fun times.

Re: Dungeon Fighter Online
I tried the game earlier and it was a good bit of fun. Got a level 6 priest and a 5 gunner. Gotta wait till tomorrow to try two other classes, but so far its pretty fun.

Re: Dungeon Fighter Online
Looks like a I "screwed up" my mage's build... I decided to test out all skills to see what they're like, level 11, names OlGreg.
Slayer's name is Aglophobia... Probably gonna stick with him.

Re: Dungeon Fighter Online
How do you screw up a build? Just grind a lower leven dungeon to get skill points.

Re: Dungeon Fighter Online
Pretty much it. The game even tells you that you should try and get as many skills as possible. So far, my favorite has been the priest. I don't care much for the gunner or slayer since it seems to go against my play style.
