How to Get an Avatar and Signature/FFR Stats Sig (UPDATED)
FLYPIE'S AVATAR/SIGNATURE GUIDE
How to get an avatar: An avatar (av) is like a buddy icon. It is a picture that shows up below your name when you post. One way to get an avatar is to find a picture that you want as your avatar. Then save the image to your computer, by right clicking and hitting "Save Picture As" Once it is saved to your machine go into your user control panel. The "User CP" button is located up at the top left of your screen. Once you get in click on "Edit Avatar" on the left hand side. Or you can just click here and it will take you to your edit avatar page. There you will see a checkbox that says "use a custom avatar" check that box. Then the second option under the custom avatar spot you will see " Upload an Avatar From Your Computer". So you browse for the picture and then you hit the save changes button, and BADA BING you have an avatar. Also, you can upload an avatar from a URL. If you want to upload it from a URL then you have to find a picture you want on the internet, right click the picture, go into properties, and copy and paste the URL into the first line in the custom avatar section thats says "Enter Avatar URL". Then you want to save changes and you have an avatar. Also, if the file size is too big you need to go into Photoshop/Paint/Paint Shop Pro etc. and lower the quality of the picture. Also, in the rules it states Quote:
How to get a signature : A signature (sig, siggy) is a picture or some words that go below everything you post. First, find a picture or a qoute or whatever you want to put in your signature. Then go into your User CP and click on edit signature on the left control panel, or you can just click here. There is a 255 character limit on your signature. To enter your signature type what ever you want to put as your signature in the blank space. If you want to put a picture there then right click on the image you want, go to properties, and copy the URL/Location. Paste the URL in the blank space in your profile with image tags. It should look like this: Obviously, you insert the URL where it says "INSERT PICTURE URL HERE". Once you are done creating your signature hit the save signature button. BADA BING, you have a signature. Also, in the rules it states Quote:
How to get an FFR Stats signature: CLICK HERE A good place to host any images that you want for your signature or avatar is imageshack or photobucket. Cheers, Flypie Last edited by HammyMcSquirrel; 10-7-2011 at 02:50 AM.. |

One note: There is no size limit on avatars. But there should be... I've seen a user with one about 400 px long. Twas quite annoying.

hey flypie, maybe you can help me out with this... my ffr sig won't show up at all. i'm ranked 60th and have over 820 million points, so scores should not be a problem. i've checked the code over and over, but it won't show up. i'd appreciate any help you could give me,

avatars don't seem to work when you upload them. i'd say you should go to photobucket.com and host your image from there. i had the same problem.
