Suggestion: New level of difficulty in skill tokens
Well it seems to me that the skill tokens are always attainable by a select few who've completely mastered FFR, but what happens when you make them flip the game on its side?
My suggestion is that maybe to get a certain skill token, you'd have to beat a song with the arrows going sideways, at a certain speed, or with a mod on. Possibly you'd need to beat several songs in a string in different directions? That'd be a new way to challenge everyone. I recently switched over to playing to the right, and it's been one heck of a challenge trying to adapt from up to right, so I jus thought that if they're called skill tokens, you'd need extreme skill to beat a song under certain requirements while playing in a style that you'd never normally use. |

Re: Suggestion: New level of difficulty in skill tokens
I'm thinking for the first little while it'd be something seemingly easy, like FC or AAA Alpha Helix sideways (either left or right). Seems pretty simple, but try it and you'll see that if you're not used to it, it's extremely difficult.

believe me, i'd do this..... in a heartbeat.... except we don't record data on scroll direction or mods used. in order to implement tokens based on those factors, we'd have to start recording that data.

Re: Suggestion: New level of difficulty in skill tokens
How about temporarily recording this information for sake of the skill token, but not saving it like song ranks?
That shouldn't be too difficult to implement. |

Re: Suggestion: New level of difficulty in skill tokens
The main difficulty in changing from up/down to sideways is that the left/right arrows switch positions with the up/down arrows effectively messing with your mind. Turning the screen unfortunately wouldn't help

Re: Suggestion: New level of difficulty in skill tokens
I just thought of something! In a few of the songs' high scores, it lists beside the user's score UP or DW, or something to that effect. Wouldn't that signify the direction?
