Why Americans hate French?

I just wanted to know why the hell do americans hate the French people? AND DON'T SAY YOU SAVED THEIR ASSES DURING WW2!!!!!!! Your president sent you to war because if the Russians would of reconquer all of Europe, they would have a whole continent for them.
I would of made a list but there are 2 much prejudice going on. Just think about it and i'm sure you'll see there isn't so much reasons you hate them....

I don't hate French people. However, I dislike the French government because I don't agree with just about all of the decisions they make.

Maybe it's beccause America stems from Britain....which hated (or hates) the people of France. :/ Maybe Americans don't hate the French. :/ I've never heard an american call a frenchman a frog...although it's something that people of Britain do. :/

Now don't take my word for it, as I'm just guessing, but it's not necessarily that we saved the French during WW2, but they didn't seem grateful that we did it, or something to that extent. I just discussed it with my teacher the other day because he really does hate the French, but I can't remember a darn thing they said.

They had to because they fought World War One and lost many men, and they thought there wouldnt be another war in years, so they didn't rebuild their army completely and there where only footsoldiers that where used to WWI. Ahhh! if the governemnt had listened to Charles DeGaulle, they would have made tanks.

As well as for not being grateful, i have no information on this but the american army (and the german army that is) did bomb their houses and destroy most of the country. But that's part of the war.

I have read that text and it is FALSE. The french have won WWI and the americans did nothing except sending like 200 men to battle.

I noticed a trend in those who hate the French: they seem to be slow in the brains, and repeat whatever their idiot father says at the dinner table.

It is easy to say that the French are pussies for not going to war when you are sitting safely in your terrorist supporting gas guzzler. Okay, if you are so manly, you go fight.

It is true that France wasnt very nice to us after WWII, but to say that American saved their asses? You forget that Russia and Britian too played a major part in the war. Many of the bitterness is because the US didnt decided to get involved until late in the war. And our main focus was on Japan anyways.

Also, remember that America has never had to fight a war on its own turf. So Americans, shut up until you have seen the destructive force that a war firsthand. Spoiled little Bitches (including me).

EDIT: Oh yeah, and a grand total of one million american men died during WWI. That's mostly because they didnt have the good sense to keep their heads down when there's 500 german machine guns just looking for a target, but death nonetheless.

America has fought on its own turf once, during the War of 1812. Got spanked.

Since none of you really understand the scope of the wars you speak of (not to mention the facts involved), I'm just going to sidetrack a history lesson and get to a final point.

It is nationalistic pride which creates the conflict between America and France. Military records are just used to put down the other nation.

France likes to think they are better than America, and America is pissed because they think they are better than France. I do know though, that a lot of European powers are upset at the amazing power the US can wield, which France cannot match..

I really have no hatred of the French, but if you guys are going to sit around and prattle on about it, I might as well throw in my two cents.

Maybe the reason americans hate french is that canadians who lived near french Quebec hated the french people there because they wanted to be different. My grandfather lived in Quebec for a while and said that the french used to sit there with cigarettes in their mouth and say they were better than you. When people like him moved to america, they brought this hatred with them to their children and grandchildren.
