There's really no limits for this game as far as we know. Saying that "your skill level would go only so far" especially for this game is pretty dumb to say in my opinion.

The hardest thing I yet have to pass is Moonearth CV, which is Moonearth but instead of 16ths, it all 24ths which is around 280 16ths.

lol is it the full version that got CV'd or is it cut? because i don't think 195 bpm 24ths for 6 minutes is even possible for pad right now.

The only reason spread took over is literally because people saw the limitations with index.

People just didn't feel like pushing new limits for index, which boggles my mind. And you can do harder things with spread like Jumpstrream, handstream, 360-500 streams etc. so I guess that's why spread's widely used around the Stepmania community more than index. It sucks that I have no competition for index.

You don't understand what I'm saying. The physiological capabilities of index are inferior to spread. This was determined a long time ago within this community.

What you're essentially saying is that, for example, someone who has one leg can overcome obstacles and compete or even outrun someone with two legs, which is completely illogical. Prosthetic legs also do not count, because a prosthetic leg equalizes the limb count. The same goes for index and spread. Spread players literally have double the fingers to use in comparison to index players. There isn't even an argument to be had here.

I'm not trying to be a dick, or even condescending for that matter, I'm merely trying to explain to you what you seem to not understand. No one play style is "better", that's completely subjective and based upon a player's preference. What isn't subjective is that spread players will always have a physiological advantage over index players due to more fingers being available to use.

man, you're missing the point.

He's not saying it's a better style than spread, he's saying there's no limit to what you can push yourself to. Not letting yourself try something because other people are better at it a different way is really fucking dumb.


I've always been terrible at index, it makes no sense to me, so I never played. I really admire people that are really good at it, regardless if someone could crush the scores spread.
