Your only arguements to my comments were something along the lines of "Nuh uh!" which only further points out the point that im trying to make.

And i do play stepmania.

I can understand where you're coming from though, but this is only my 2 cents worth of critisism, so try and take it in a more positive way and learn from it, all im saying is that something original, will always catch your eye infinitely more than something that is nothing more than a template.

Make a stepfile background thread then, last i checked i wasnt on Stepmania.com, and it is constructive critisism, im trying to push you people to make something original, but i guess you don't understand that. Im done with this thread for a while, you guys suck.

OK, you've proved to us that you can make one of the shittiest StepMania backgrounds in existance.

Now, make something where you didn't steal half of your background from Google Images.

Here, take a look at one background I've created:



Completely from scratch.

Now, let's visit your simfile background argument.

"shoddy background image": Not to be egotistic, but I don't think so.
"shoddy use of too many filters": No filters used.
"randomly placed anime character": o hay no Desu in sight

Don't go stereotyping the entire simfile graphics community on Kevin_18's backgrounds.

pyroshock, i love how you left out the part about the font, and i love how all of you don't understand that yes there are exceptions, but you must admit at least 90% of it follows exactly what i said. And that video was a parody of all of those pathetic backgrounds people make, and the amount of time it looks like is put into them, but ya on another note, pyro that background does look pretty nice, with the exception of the text lol, and sorry ive been so bitchy lately, ive been bleeding *cough* lol

You realize that nothing you've posted in this thread has approached anything anywhere near original. You suck. Who gives a damn if you can slide your hand around in a marginally interesting way? There's no meaning derived behind your pieces; they are all aesthetic wank with a level of technical proficiency. Good for you. There are so many people with that talent out there that there's a name for them in the graphic design business: JAFAs (Just another fucking artist).

So, good job you trite JAFA... You can do vector art and cel-shading and photomanips; you are certainly created rifts and movements in the world of art with your thought-provoking images. Now sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up.
