![]() I'll just say if anyone links music FFR has permission for that is not buzz music and that would legitimately make for a good 90+ file, you can be sure me or Nathan or someone else will step a file for it within 24 hours.
I'll be waiting. Tell me when you figure out it's not easy ![]()

They're almost always composed with the idea that a human being will perform them. Even the most difficult compositions don't have the raw speed that would challenge most D7 players because they're getting converted from 88 keys to 4 keys, and from ten to four fingers. Unfortunately they don't reach 90+ too often. I've spent lots of time just browsing youtube listening to piece after piece. Occasionally there's something fast but not in the 90s, and it's always a gamble if it's actually something in the public domain or that we have permission for. If it is, it's also best that it not just have one or a few difficult parts over a long duration since that can make for a frustrating stepchart, but it is pretty common for it to be structured like that. And then after all that you need a usable audio file of it being performed (MIDIs tend to sound pretty bland and unappealing).

If you made a 90 out of it, it'd only be one because of boring rollwalls or bad trill/anchor patterns, like AT or M8BT. Maybe you could make an enjoyable low 90 file out of this, but I'm going to stand by there being no way for like a 95 without crippling stupidity in the file.

![]() When people are complaining about buzz music they mostly mean that it's not melodic enough.
Finding something both strongly melodic and with enough sounds is very difficult. Death Piano is honestly a pretty good example.

![]() I've thought about stepping Nancarrow's player piano studies before. He died in 97 though and getting permission from major labels... yeah.

This, if you took any of Neal Peart's drum solos or a collab of someone's solos could warrant a high file without tearing the music to pieces, but still it's hard in general for even pro stepartists to create such a file :\
