Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Maddening post but Shotgun Surgery takes the cake for the most annoying intro ever
also, please stop telling people to just use different engines for no lag. this lag is different for everyone AND not everyone can play better on other engines. I've said it before but now it's getting annoying to me. I have 1-0-0-1 and no other engine other than Velo's will get anything close to that. Analogy: "My left hand hurts and I can't write." "Use your right hand since it doesn't hurt."

edit: however, just because the intro might be "annoying" the file is so much fun to play. I can only imagine how great it'll be when lag goes away.

All restarts due to random spot derps just because I'm not used to the engine at ALL anymore, and I only re-got it this quickly because I was one of the few peeps that stuck with Legacy for a while when Velocity first became an option. Everyone needs to stop saying 'use a different engine'. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I think D6's cutoff will be 2g, maybe 3g.
I'm going to change my mind on what I thought the D4 cutoff would be -- I think that D4's cutoff is going to be something around 11/12g, and I think D5's cutoff will dip into the high SDG area. EDIT: apparently someone AAA'd the song this way, which is hilarious because I was going to post this earlier: anyone who has tried and failed at Shotgun Surgery might want a look at this (or TK_Unreal, as he said he did it similarly to this). The trills are entirely unlayered, which is a HUGE advantage for setup manipulation. Try using your ring fingers to coordinate triple hits, and shift your right hand and left hand accordingly to index the trills. Last edited by TC_Halogen; 07-22-2012 at 08:53 PM.. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Oooh, so there's less lag on the legacy engine. It's almost playable, if it wasn't for the fact that the legacy engine is shit and half the screen it taken up with the combo and judgement. And that you can't tell your PA count mid-song. And there's no restart button. And it still lags a little.
Pretty sure I could SDG this if I get to play it on Velocity! |

I got the trills easily. I'm just inconsistent at everything else though~ edit: Also, why are lots of you demanding others to stop saying,"use a different engine"? I haven't seen anyone say that yet :c or i just missed it all. w.e

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
There's been quite a few people suggesting different engines, hahaha.
But yeah, I personally have no issue doing those trills; you've gotta push upwards of 240 to give me issues on either hand. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Why do I feel like the only one in D6 who has trouble with the beginning trills :<

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Yeah...this lag is pretty unbearable and I'm not even playing in the tournament. I can actually see the frames speeding up and slowing down consistently throughout easy songs such as "F".
I'll just have to wait till everyone is done trying to whore their songs just so I can AAA easy shit again. Trust, me you're not. You'd be surprised who's also running into that problem. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Its not so much the trills are fast, but the patterns are pretty annoying and being one handed trills doesnt help.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
FFR Beta in browser actually lags a little less than standalone velocity. That's bearable at least, since it's only visual lag and very rarely have I been getting spikes of input lag!
Although the visual lag is beasting on some plays. Gonna give it a proper go tomorrow, AAA'd to 600 in one attempt *confidence boost* |
