Default Time Frame

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I am lazy and tired so...

I think a niffty idea would be adding a meter, or some other diddle-thing that could show you how far into the song you are...

because it is sometimes hard to keep track of how fair you are into a song. And my mom yells at me sometime to get off the computer and I say "Just a second"...but it turns out to be more than a second...like 3 minutes more.

DDR ain't got that thing...

Oh, me too. I hate it when I need to wash the dishes or come down for dinner in the middle of getting an ace on a song. There should be a pause button. That would be so helpful when I have to get the phone or something.

If there were a pause button, it would be incredibly easy to cheat on a level. You could pause during the hard parts, then examine the arrows, unpause, and execute perfectly with great, great ease.

Time-frame or elapsed time (or even an ETA ) would be incredibly helpful. Not that a pause would not be (I could ace chrono!).....

See what I'm sayin'?

Ok, that makes sense.

However, if you must pause, you're gonna suck alot once you get back from a break. (now you'll say: warm up on another server in a different window! then i'll say: you'll probably be in the middle of a huge heap of arrows, and, again SUCK!)

Well that's kinda your own problem if you would suck when unpaused. I'm not directing that at you by the way, I'm just making that a general comment. As for parents yelling at you to come up or something must.... kill.... now.....

yeah...pause and time warnings would help.. Also, like have a try again button that makes you do the song over as opposed to go to main screen

Yeah, that would be a little bit more helpful. Also, it would be awesome if when you press the guy in the top right to get the high scores, there's a scroll down list. But, there would have to be a couple spaces between 10 and 11 just so more emphasis is on the top 10.

I have a couple small things I posted in the FFR suggestions that only a couple people read, I might as well repost them...

I think the rating system should be tweaked. The parantheses are sometimes hard to read, so I suggest just writing a number. Also, I would love it if you made the rating out of 20 so people could more accurately gauge a song's difficulty. The ratings should be a bit more precise because I can see a difference in most songs with the same rating.

A volume control would be great because as someone else said, my volume on the lowest level is still loud and It's hard to fix it in the sound control menu because my computer is a little screwy. Even something with just 5 settings would be helpful.

There's a small glitch in the top scores. When on the FFR song selection screen and I open a high score list to a song, if I were to go to another it would show the same high score list for the first song I checked.
For example: I see the high scores to the Mario level, then I go to the FF7 level and check the high scores, the Mario level scores will come up again.

I think the song duration could be measured by a meter kind of like on IIDX 6th Style. It would be nice but I also like the tension that builds when you have a full combo going and you don't know when the song is going to end. It makes the game exciting. Maybe make it an option.

I agree that not knowing when the song ends is a fun factor. So making the time thing an option would be better Idea.

So that's a yes on an optional timer?

Something like a bar progress indicator? It shouldn't be too hard to implement. It may cause some CPU lag on older systems so having it as an option is a good idea.
